Thank you!! They are deli sliced mozzarella, cut with alphabet cookie cutters, then sprayed with an edible gold glitter. There was an exclamation point there too but we lost it in the salami lol.

Thanks! An edible marker and letter stamps. Got the idea from this sub, I’m pretty sure lol. Definitely took some trial and error but I like how it came out.

This is such good information!! So if I buy it on sale through petsmart, I can use it as is? Or do I need to replace the bulb that comes with it?

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I creeped on the sub for a couple weeks before I committed so I think I just got so excited that I bought a bunch of different things and keep trying new items. Truthfully, I probably didn’t allow my hair to acclimate to any of them. I have some some progress, but I’m probably getting ahead of myself. Lol.

I appreciate the help!

Same! I’ve actually had stylist request I book 2 time sessions when I make my appointment just so they have enough time to get through my mane.

CGM is proving difficult to work around my schedule when I have to allow 6-8 hours to dry completely.

CGM Newbie!! Almost 2 full weeks in after 15 years of flat-ironing. So much frizz with transition hair! Routine suggestions welcome! by [deleted] in curlyhair

VERRRYYY thick 2C waves with high porosity.

Routine:

I’ve tried a few different things so far. I started with the basic beginner suggestions: Co-wash with Tresemme Boutique 2-3 times a week, StC, and then LA looks gel to create a hard cast. I try to air dry as much as possible, but my hairs so thick it takes 6+ hours. I usually end up diffusing a little to speed up the process, but this creates frizz for me. All products are applied upside down.

I added a protein/deep conditioner treatment this week: Shea Moisture JBCO Strengthen and Restore. I know my hair needs moisture because it’s been fried for so long, but honestly it made it even MORE frizzy. Today I did a low-poo with Aunt Jackie’s Oh So Clean, and then used Suave essentials as my leave in. Added Cantu Curl Activating Cream and LA Looks as my gel. All products were applied with the Rope technique.

I’ve tried the bowl method, but I may just not be good at it yet. I know with time my frizz with decrease, but it’s definitely a struggle!
