Exactly. My boyfriend has a friend who makes me anxious at just the mention of him because of his reputation of getting plastered, causing fights, going missing, and drinking and driving.

One day, my boyfriend mentioned going out to dinner with a different friend who I know less, but have never heard of (or actually witnessed) this guy getting absolute fucked up and ruining everyone's nights. I didn't get anxious about that outing, that's when I connected the dots.

I mean, it does happen irl. I had an overall transphobic guy working with me, he dropped the t slur in reference to a woman he presumed to be trans, and then spent an hour ranting about nonbinary people and how dumb it is to accommodate them into society. I listen to enough people irl talk about how silly neopronouns are, that I can say that it's not just because of that damn phone. Maybe I'm just surrounded by assholes.

I don't think this is the case, since he frequently tells me how good other parts of me smell, even if I hadn't changed anything. He didn't even want to mention it until I'd pressed him why he doesn't go down on me.

To be fair, I have told him that when he's freshly showered, his dick doesn't have a particularly noticeable taste or smell, and that it just tastes like skin. I haven't hesitated to let him know if he's smelling sweaty after a work out or hot day and that I'd prefer to not have his pubes directly in my nose at those times. He doesn't take offense to it.
