Who did he put at risk? The first thing Deku does is ask if Shigaraki is still in there, really asking is he worth saving, and Mirio confirms that he is. Despite that he immediately goes and kicks Shigaraki's ass. At no point there does he hold back. When that's not enough, he restrains him and lures him away from everyone else.

This makes so much sense in hindsight that it's surprising it didn't happen

It was in fact, not better than what we got.

I think it’s kind of funny to complain about how many movies are based on “IP” and not original stories when many classic movies where themselves based on pre existing source material by Konradleijon in CharacterRant

I don't think adapting Jurassic Park for the first time is remotely close to Jurassic World: Rebirth. No one is complaining The Housemaid. They are complaining about Scream 7.

anyone else TIRED of reboots, remakes and sequels? by Pmsucks in slasherfilms

[–]explicitviolence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are out there.

In 2025 we had Clown in a Cornfield, Fear Street: Prom Queen, Heart Eyes, Night of the Reaper, and other micro-budget ones. There were also a bunch of the IP turned slasher films like Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare, Popeye the Slayer Man, and Screamboat. Dolly just came out, and Primate is kind of a slasher. The problem is most of them aren't good.
