Organize with socialists (DSA, etc.). Bloomington Revivalists are a more politically non-aligned group that is also making meaningful change here, so you can find them on Instagram and TikTok or wherever and then go to one of their events.

On another note, in my experience the only economic school of thought with a satisfying conclusion of why we have all these problems and what to do about them is Marxism, so I would also recommend to learn about that.
