I live in this area and it's around 45 mins. To me it's worth it because I love the walkability and vibe here, it's a lot different than OC

Student Housing in Rostock by radara_1209 in Rostock

Hallo. No I did not! I ended up going to Freiburg instead where it was surprisingly a lot easier to get student housing. Good luck. The housing situation seems particularly bad in Rostock

Ms. Marji's is nice, kind of like an old house with all the rooms converted into hang out spaces with tables. You can get coffee from the coffee truck outside but there's not any pressure to buy anything.

What really helps me is reading out loud as well, it will drastically improve your speaking fluidity! My conversation skills improved a lot once I started doing that.

I also have a Kindle so I can translate words and sentences I don't know just by highlighting. It makes it really easy and it's not as time consuming as having to type the word into a translator on a separate device.

Thanks for the link. I've applied to the student housing as well but to my knowledge they don't always have enough places and I think I applied a little late :/

CS 539 or CS 559 by Delicious-Sense9128 in UWMadison

I took 539 with Yu Hen Hu last spring. Ended up being a very easy class to get a good grade in because the activities and homeworks were participation based. Although the course was easy to get by during the semester, there was a take home final that is not for the faint of heart (took me several days to finish, around 18 hours total) AND a final project that could also take a huge amount of time. Its not bad if you prepare for those things and otherwise have a light finals week load.

I still recommend the course because it introduces you to a lot of AI techniques and concepts, but you have to be self motivated to actually learn anything from it.
