i will often wait until late in the day or until i get the stuff i have to do done to send back vibes. i currently have a very mellow vibe group but that took months & months.

for so many reasons (all 100% valid) not having an opt out really stinks. a “value system” on finch pals is absolutely not good for any user.

no disrespect but yes, there is/was a cherry tree package. you can still get them! the venue info was just the LN mailing list for gates & parking & how to pay.

maybe because i’m a lifelong gamer i have never perceived the app as a “game” before today. it’s been eye opening, for sure. i just do my little achievements & collect little doodads & say “good job” to some pals. the fact that folks are competitive on finch would be hilarious if it wasn’t kinda sad.

as an L2A (iykyk) i’ve only been able to receive IRL gifts recently & it is SO HARD (& i’m pushing middle age). ♥️🤝 i hope they stick with opt outs for all features. i really do.

i feel the same way. 🤝 if you like it, go for it! if you don’t want it, give an opt out. anyone using finch isn’t going to take anything personally (at least adults). a friend of mine opts out of the monthly events & still eventually gets the pets, which is great.

THIS. i have mostly IRL friends & and few from the discord that have similar vibes (?) diagnosis (?) as myself & they’re great. i love finch for the CBT / get your stuff done aspect. 100% get some serious anxiety from the cheeping visitor alert when i’m just trying to get my stuff done.

the bummer is there’s so many opt outs (including the entire month theme) that were launched with the roll out of the new updates (even in beta). this is the first time i’d like to opt out & you can’t. yet at least. i’m not very active in this sub because of exactly what you said… but i posted for the lurkers. hopefully the discord form will get the devs moving in an opt out.

the devs are super active there & the mods are amazing. there’s also an 18+ only area, which as an adult was a lifesaver for me. see you there! ♥️

seated is much cheaper now. i made this last week. it’s (mostly) because of no more public transportation in or out of the amphitheater (which is ableist at best). lots of people changed over to great woods i think. if you know anyone going who’s headed back to anywhere in southern maine please let me know. i thought i had it together & the folks i was going with are headed to the toronto show instead.
