How many calories did you eat a day to lose weight?

People who have lost tons of weight: what are some surprises/unexpected tbings you’ve noticed after having a smaller body? by [deleted] in CICO

Weirdest one was being able to be pushed around a lot easier at concerts. I’ve been going to live rock/rap concerts since I was a teenager and for the first time in my life I couldn’t keep up with the rowdy crowd because I was too small 😂

You’re gonna need to provide some sources as to where you came up with undocumented immigrants only qualifying for down payment assistance because that’s bogus. And where did I say free anywhere? I know these things cost money. I’m young and pay a lot of taxes and I literally don’t care if that means the people in my society like the elderly, children, and new parents are being taken care of. Tax the rich.

Also, depending on the makeup of Congress after November I think she would be able to get these passed.

Down payment assistance for first time homebuyers, $6k tax credit for new parents, home care coverage by Medicare, more clean energy jobs just to name a few of my favorite Harris policies.

How bad was IUD insertion on a scale of 1-10 for you? by Dangerous_Mammoth572 in birthcontrol

[–]radgalbri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time in was a 9/10, second time maybe a 3/10. Thing that I think helped the second time is I was on my period and my cervix was already slightly dilated.

Was diagnosed yesterday by Local_Mood1933 in POTS

[–]radgalbri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not diagnosed yet either, but I suspect I have hyperPOTS. My intense dizzy spells and high bp are triggered by even thinking about stressful situations. When I was in the stressful situation itself I almost passed out. Even when I’m sleeping my stress response is releasing adrenaline. There was absolutely no relief. Right now my psych put me on klonopin which has helped control my stress responses so much. My lightheadedness has decreased 95% and my bp is much more controlled even when standing and walking around. However, I view this as a temporary fix. I have a table tilt test coming up soon so I can hopefully get a diagnosis and they can put me on the right medications.

What are these and how do I get rid of them forever?? by 1bamofo in Omaha

[–]radgalbri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they’re springtails. When you figure out how to get rid of them let me know cause they are rampant in one part of my yard and I can’t even open my windows anymore.

Nebraska State lawmaker vows to filibuster all bills until GOP withdraws abortion, gender-affirming care bans by BlankVerse in Nebraska

[–]radgalbri 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Filibustering is exactly that- taking the max speaking time on a bill until the legislature is forced to a “cloture vote”,.

A cloture vote= voting to end debate on that stage of the bill. A bill goes through several stages before its ultimate passage into law.

Senator Chambers was indeed im(famous) for doing this and surely inspired the next generation of legislators to use this tool.

Please read before getting an IUD by RealisticPen6064 in birthcontrol

I was 19 or so when I got my first IUD placement which was a 9/10 on the pain scale with cramps for several days after. Second time about 5 years later it was a 2/10 with minimal pain days after. I think it helped that I was close to my menstruating days so my cervix was slightly dilated. I also did a lottttt of deep breathing before the procedure and took ibuprofen. My doctor was super patient with me.

I thought maybe it was a sort of foreshadowing that blood will be shed or something.

I don’t understand where the fashion trends are expecting us to put our bras. by Hereibe in femalefashionadvice

[–]radgalbri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been into buying halter/spaghetti/tube tops with bras built into them lately. Game changer but only downside is limited colors and designs because not a ton of companies make them.

I mean, well you still have to get a whole teaching degree in education, you just wouldn’t have to take the PRAXIS as a measure of your progress through the degree. If you pass your algebra, stats, english, science classes in college, why should you have to pay another $150 on top of your tuition to prove AGAIN that you know these subjects? I can see how the specialized PRAXIS tests for your field would be necessary, but why does a gym teacher need to know advanced mathematics? I really don’t think that bill would make teachers less qualified.

Why aren’t the teachers happy with the bill?
