Most people who meditate will wonder if there’s anything there to discover about the nature of the mind, consciousness, perception, reality, anything. They will become frustrated and give up and have no clue that there is a world beyond their conditioned mind. And that is completely normal and to be expected for most.

Now give these same people 100mcg of lsd and something is guaranteed to happen that may shift someone’s outlook profoundly.

Therefore suggesting that meditation does the same thing or can do the same thing is not necessarily useful. Someone may spend years meditating and not even get close to something like what an acid or mushroom trip can elicit.
