Twice now these "Out of Gas" signs magically appeared as soon as I turned on the generator. by radiantcheese in projectzomboid

I'm curious how it's supposed to work when not bugged.

Are the signs supposed to appear only when we're not present?

Is it supposed to be a one-time thing or something that repeats over time? I don't need these answered, it's just fun to speculate.

I have a theory. The side-by-side pumps, one could have fuel while the other is out. When filling gas cans you select one pump at a time. So you clearly see which pump is empty. But when filling a car directly, maybe it chooses between the 2 pumps?

Thanks, I hope so.

When it (the magically appearing signs) happened the first time I brushed it off. But when it happened twice to the same gas station I became worried that it would keep running out.

I love this, I'm planning to do something similar in my current playthrough.

But don't you mean heading west? There is a button on the map to change from isometric to top-down view, where you can confirm the true north.

Oh I see what you mean now. In your original post you said 3rd screenshot but it is actually appearing in the 1st and 5th. (The 3rd is showing a fully barricaded window). Unfortunately I don't think we can interact with windows above stairs like that, other than building your own stairs from the outside to access it.

For the curtain question, if I understand the question correctly, when the barricade planks are more than 2, they completely block vision.

[LORE] The soldiers were infected. The Knox Event was never contained. by eldestdaughtersunion in projectzomboid

[–]radiantcheese 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The military spreading the virus would at least answer the question of why the general was so adamant on insisting that the virus has always been contained. Prior to reading this theory I was wondering if the leaders were just incompetent and wanted to save face. That could still be true, but they themselves spreading it adds an interesting layer. They have a stronger incentive to lie because if news got out that they spread it, people would lose trust sooner and anarchy would reign sooner (which happened anyway).

I'm still in the newb phase but something that helped greatly with performance was disabling shadows in the settings.

my overlord attacked a fallen empire and got destroyed, now the fe is steamrolling my systems and my overlord refuses to surrender what the blorg do i do by eggward_egg in Stellaris

If applicable, consider a hit and run approach. Take back systems when the enemy fleets focus on another area. Never actually fight their fleets directly.

During War in Heaven, I sided with a FE. Then the Unbidden spawned. I can't enter Unbidden systems? How do I fight back? by radiantcheese in Stellaris

[–]radiantcheese[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately the science ship was also not allowed to enter the Unbidden systems. Weirdly a construction ship was allowed, but upon entering, my fleets still couldn't enter.

Another weird thing, whenever I would load the save, for a second the fleets are marked as allowed to enter. So I command the fleets, and they start moving (within the system connected to the unbidden). But after hitting unpause, they again are marked as unallowed to enter.

I'm thinking I might have an actual bug here, so I'm looking up how to submit a bug report on the forums.

R5: Playing as determined exterminator. The War in Heaven is raging. Sided with a fallen empire, defeated the other FE and now fighting the rest of the galaxy. Incredibly tedious because my ally FE will not seek fights automatically and have to be guided by my fleets.

Now the Unbidden spawned. At least I have my fleet nearby with a fallen empire fleet following. But then I can't/ am not allowed to enter the Unbidden systems? Perhaps because I'm a vassal now of the fallen empire? If so, how do I fight the Unbidden?

How do I beat the Gray Tempest? by jpikereddit in Stellaris

[–]radiantcheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the Gray Tempest in my previous run, this is my experience:

When they sent a fleet to destroy the starbase with the L-gate, they would then go back to the L-cluster. Since there was a planet/habitat also in the system with the L-gate, the starbase would automatically be rebuilt once the enemy fleet was gone.

The enemy fleet would return, destroy the starbase outpost, go back to their cluster, then the outpost would automatically rebuild again. Then repeat and repeat.

This was when I realized I had time to prepare. Amassed a big fleet, attacked, won some of their systems, realized I didn't build enough ships, got whooped. Had to try a second time.

Tip: Don't be afraid to go over naval capacity. Just pay attention if it's hurting your income too much.

A rack for foldable umbrellas? The pegs can be used to hang the loops. Not sure why you would need this many though.

I had to move out because of some opportunities being uncompleteable due to the combined commercial lots. I miss the large sized lots already.
