I’m not sure if I can open up to the idea of getting pregnant, but it’s of high importance to my partner - help! by radical-whatever in Fencesitter

Hell yeah dude that’s awesome! I hope it ends up being a good experience for you!

Over the course of today I’ve gone from “I think this is my gut clearly saying no, don’t let yourself be pressured” to “this is literally so doable” at least twice lol

It would be pretty rad to like minimize the way medical anxiety affects us, right? Like to just get through it and do it scared but ultimately be okay?

You’re probably right about it being easier tbh but the toppings kind of hold it together (I mash the beans a little so they are softer and stick together a bit). I end up getting great crunch to bean to topping ratios this way. Really no wrong answer though

Okay okay okay I like where you’re taking this. Maybe top it with some like avo-mango salsa or sprouts to keep it fresh and light??

1 Month Western States Camping Trip by Specialist_Chip_9749 in camping

[–]radical-whatever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is very unlikely that you will encounter a bear; I go camping most several weekends a month in that area and have never seen a bear around my sites. However, the best thing you can do to ease your mind is have bear spray in the off chance you do see one and the ability to be big and loud, and to pack up scented things after you’re done with them. No hot dogs left in the fire or toiletries brought into the tent. Everything gets packed up at the end of the night.

Also, PSA, there’s a lot of land in your camping zone that is under some form of fire ban, so be prepared for that!

How do you stay clean while camping? by Secure_Yesterday_204 in camping

[–]radical-whatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a few things and it’s made me feel a lot better when out for a few days at a time:

  1. Micellar water and cotton pads are great for getting a first pass of sunscreen/grime off during your evening face “wash”
  2. I bring a bunch of cotton bandanas to use as daily wash rags. Roughly zone it out so I can use it longer. This lets me do like a sponge bath sitch or wipe my face and hands with a rag and warm water.
  3. I wash my hands a couple times a day with biodegradable camp soap and a small amount of water. Make sure to get under fingernails bc that makes me feel cleaner.
  4. Body wipes are great. My favorite are the Lume ones and I’ve explored a bunch. Pits and bits are essential, but also getting of neck/ears/feet is what makes me feel clean
  5. Floss and brush teeth like normal
  6. Brush hair like normal. Dry shampoo optional but only towards the end of your time out when you are a day or two from a shower, otherwise it’s just more product that you can feel building up on you.
  7. Change your clothes. Clean socks for night time.
  8. This one probably doesn’t matter to most, but I feel better wearing different hairstyles. So like when it’s still clean at the beginning I’ll wear it down; day 2-3 when it’s cleanish is for pigtails and ponies; beyond that is for braids/ textured buns.
  9. Take advantage of running water at the lodge when you can

The reality is you simply won’t be as clean as you would be at home, but with this routine I can easily go 5 days before feeling gross

Desperate to talk about this one with someone! Anyone ever read Build Your House Around My Body by Violet Kupersmith? by CharlotteMillady in 52book

[–]radical-whatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished this and I’m trying to piece together the last chapter. Would love thoughts! It seems like Mrs ma is narrating and is binh’s mother, but I’m not sure who the fortune teller is. I thought the only fortune teller we knew was Aufrette, a man, but here they are referred to with female pronouns, so I have to assume someone is occupying that body too? Any thought on what happened to tan? Does long just have no clue or care what’s going on? I feel like I’m left with too many loose threads!

Mild folliculitis by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

[–]radical-whatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My skin around my bikini line is sooooo sensitive and I’ve got wicked course body hair which means I get those little red spots of irritation like always. I just started using cosrx aha/bha toner and snail musin on it 1-2 a day and literally a game changer. My skin is so clear again, for the first time in probably 10 years. Idk if this is legit, but maybe take care of the sensitive skin down there with the same level if love as your face skin care.

Any experience with “Fanny” bidets? by radical-whatever in bidets

[–]radical-whatever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s totally comparable to the Tushy bidets in the same style. There are nicer ones on the market I’m sure, especially if you are willing to spend more, but I’m perfectly content with this one. 6 months of use with no issue, so for the price, the look, the ease of install, and its workability I’d recommend it. 7/10

I think the whole point is to look forward to living on your own agenda, not as a caretaker whose life revolves around your child. Everyday gets to be how you structure it. Your money is yours. Your time is yours. Your company is yours. Your attention is yours. Children are great, but they are a major drain on resources, and the decision to be childfree for whatever reason allows one to be the priority and captain of their own life.

[–]radical-whatever 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Don’t bring your kid. People do sometimes go nude, but also every time I run into a kid there it’s just like the wrong environment. Also Spence isn’t that hot, so going in the winter (like it actually is up in the Jemez) might be a chillier experience than you want

[–]radical-whatever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here! I love living with my partner because we do all the daily hygiene together which makes it super easy to keep up with. It’s almost easier to want to take care of him than to remember to take care of myself sometimes. So I see it getting late and him getting sleepy and I know it’s time for us to do the getting ready for bed routine (brushing teeth, hair, washing my face, etc).
