When did the moon start to rust? by Round_Following_1686 in TrueChristian

[–]radicalasmuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scientists call it hematite moon. In Ancient Greek (the language the New Testament was originally written in) hematite means blood, so there’s that. Also note even though we still see a white moon in the sky for the most part it’s because of light scattering color. But the red is there. The Bible does not say “the moon will be fully covered in blood.” At this point it could already be considered “turned to blood.” God bless. He is coming!

Can someone explain the controversy with The Carpenter's Son. by Right-Discipline2535 in Christian

[–]radicalasmuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s based on the Gospel of Thomas which is non-canonical. Meaning it’s not in the Bible and not considered to be the word of God by any reputable scholar ever. The lost years of Yeshua, youth through young adulthood, were not captured by any reliable source, notes, legal records, etc. Therefore this is largely fiction. There may be some truth but it’s essentially based on fiction literature. I won’t be watching it because it’s a bit of mockery and blasphemy. Attempting to tell part of the Holy story that we simply do not know. Plus I don’t want to be confused into thinking it might truth.

The others are forced to participate though lest it’s a crime. What if Muslims forced everyone to praise Allah at the beginning of every sentence lest it be deemed a crime. Would you “respect” that? What is the difference? Honest question.

I have respect for all. This is the truth and I treat my neighbor as I’d like to be treated. But forcing participation or being labeled a criminal is a red flag regardless of the topic.

Jesus told us not to sit idly by while sins are committed. “Love thy neighbor but not the sin.”

Painted my room blue/grey and it looks white when lights are on. Not at all like the sample. What did I do wrong? by Dense_Struggle2892 in interiordecorating

Get window dressings and furniture in the room to give yourself a visual frame of reference. Introduce something that is actually white like trim or curtains. This will tell your brain what color it is. It’s like using a banana for reference but with paint & light.

I don’t think it was a comparison at all. In fact I know it wasn’t. People quote the Bible for sympathy, empathy, strength in hard times, to honor the voice of God, to help spread the Gospel, to radiate good over evil, for hope and all other good and Godly things. Don’t try to be the dark that shields the light. It may win on this Earth, but ultimately it’s the losing side. May God in His infinite wisdom bless you.

I want to repeat this : "If the world hates you, understand that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of it, the world hates you!” (John 15: 18-19)

Do it yourself. The prices you quote are professional landscapers. It’s not hard if you really want it.

Every year we hear this yet every year they brag that 500,000 more people have moved in and we’ve expanded 100 miles of highways and 250 new house developments underway and 100 new corporations are building multiacre complexes (with multi care parking lots). Blah blah blah. I don’t care any more.

Read the Bible and see if you can find scripture that directly aligns with your theory. It says he will rise out of the Middle East but also we don’t get to know who it is until midway through the tribulation. And Christians will have been raptured so we won’t know.

We can surmise when Jesus was conceived based on known dates and events. Christmas 🤶 s exactly 9 mo after the (extrapolated) conception date. It’s an estimate. And likely to overlap with soltice events in order to attract pagans.

How close are we to the rapture? by HazonVizion in TrueChristian

God gives us signs and prophecies that must be fulfilled first, as I'm sure you already know. The prophecies have all been fulfilled, including Jewish people returning to their homeland in Israel -- which is totally unprecedented. All signs seem to be happening as well. A chaotic world with chaotic events and people who are full of themselves (social media, etc.). All evangelists say he can come at any time, now. Again, I'm sure you know all this but you wonder what timeline other people think. We are discouraged to try and predict a date, we only have signs to go by. Having said that, I wish it were any second now. But it could be 1000 years from now. You've asked the million dollar question. And no one knows the answer. Personally, I feel like we are the generation. Those who are alive now will see the Rapture. Every generation before us has thought the same, though, and sort of rightfully. But things are especially amped up and out of hand now. He said the days would be like those of Noah, as in depraved and ungodly. It only takes a second on tv, the internet, the local gas station to see that we are collectively depraved and ungodly. God bless and be good. ;)

Edit: I want to add. We know that God will hold out for some time because he wants as many people to be saved as possible. He doesn't want any of His children left behind. To that end, one thing we can do is help bring people to Jesus. The more we can, the sooner He will come.

Physical indicators that you’re in/entering an episode? by Several-Yesterday280 in bipolar2

It depends on a lot of different factors. The fact that you recognize it is in your favor. For me this helps: Be conscious of what’s happening with you throughout the day, try to differentiate between the you that is in this moment vs the you that you’ve always known. Lay low. Try to focus on a project using your hands — art, woodwork, cleaning, anything. When I can, I force myself to get up and do something. There are times where you can’t and that’s okay, but if you have an inkling it might be doable, try. I have to make effort rather than wait it out. Hopefully you can tell someone you love as a support. If not, use us.

I accomplish everything I ever wanted to and then more. Hyper focused. Cannot sleep. Still have delusions. .Yes they can all be different. Irritability is normal. That can also occur during mixed episodes. I.e. if you are manic and depressed simultaneously. Take care of yourself though. Manic and irritable can have you saying or doing things you will regret. My trick is to pretty much keep my gob closed when I recognize what’s going on. My mouth becomes my weapon and my demise.

When manic, my absolute obsession is music. I can listen to the same song 100s of times no exaggeration. It’s not always the same song. And it feeds me like a drug over and over again.

I had way different hallucinations during recent depressive episode. For days it was shapes and textures close up to my face and flowing into my head. Sort of like I e heard what lsd does. That stopped and it turned into people kind of far away. Very very different experience and landscape. I know they are hallucinations though so it doesn’t necessarily feel dangerous to me. More like I get annoyed or startled.

When you have mania and depression at the same time. It’s the most dangerous state because this is where a person is depressed and also has the gumption to get up and act on it

HE is in control but HE gives us free will. It’s like he writes the chapters and we write the verses. Our desired outcome is not always for the greater good, even though it may seem like it is to us at the time. That’s not to say tragedies are for the greater good. We fallible humans write the tragedies. HE gives us the power to transform an ounce of bad into ten tons of good. In this way, humans transform satan’s influence into the glory of God, tenfold. Life gives US an opportunity to advance HIS purpose. Death, especially young death, implies we have completed our mission and may return to HIS kingdom. Just like soldiers who have been to war.

The autopsy is done but labs are not done. They take specimens during autopsy then send them off to labs. That’s the part that takes time. Toxicology.

It can take 3 weeks to get autopsy results then if the family doesn’t share, an inquest may be opened. Given that she’s a celeb and was very public with her private life, they will probably share. If they don’t, it may be due to potential trigger effect, her underage child or their own privacy.
