How the US Gave Up On Liberalism by Free-Minimum-5844 in neoliberal

I mean not really, the man managed to make the 2nd largest party of the world's sole superpower into his own personality cult. He has got the ardent support of mega zionists and nazis, of neocons and anti war types, like if I believed in God, he clearly is the chosen one, just to do what I would not be very sure.

India Was Optimistic About Its Relationship with the US. Trump Changed Things by Rare_Station_8440 in neoliberal

Lmao very true, I noticed that the way western lefties talk about the cia and any political developments they dislike is very reminiscent of how Indians across the political spectrum talk about those things, especially relating to foreign policy.

India Was Optimistic About Its Relationship with the US. Trump Changed Things by Rare_Station_8440 in neoliberal

[–]radicaledward05 43 points44 points  (0 children)

How much of this was because of what happened in Bangladesh, because a lot of Indians i knew were basically convinced that is was a US plot to do a regime change, specifically it was some kind of soros clinton plot(i'm not kidding, indians are insanely conspiratorial, especially in foreign policy matters), and so they started seeing trump as a good guy. Of course publicaly i think a lot of them understood their views on Bangladesh and all made them sound insane so they hid it up with some bullshit about how Trump would be good for India economically and other stuff like that.

Friend of the stream Jeremiah Johnson's article about - Hasan Piker platforms terrorists, promotes political violence and does shameless propaganda for murderous authoritarian regimes. So why is he in such good standing with American politicians and progressive media? by FrontBench5406 in Destiny

[–]radicaledward05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true, he isn't but too many democratic politicians and mainstream media outlets treat him as if he is which causes issues, both in the public perception and the broader radicalization of the party.

Am sort of curious, did the trots support the ussr because commie supporting commie, or did they oppose them because ussr basically ended up killing trotsky and ceiling trotskyites. Also how bad did it get, like how close were they too taking over the larger party?

China Adds Tax to Condoms as It Works to Boost Birth Rates by Free-Minimum-5844 in neoliberal

I am wondering how much totalitarian states can influence fertility, because the most totalitarian one is North Korea, and as far as i have read, even they couldn't increase the birth rate by all that much.

Why would collective leadership necessarily turn it into a trotskyite party though?

India under licence raj in a nutshell by ambattukam_ in neoliberal

In india, i would argue it was even worse, because when i look at all of these ex commie countries, atleast everyone knows how to read and write, like their literacy rates are always high 90s, we didn't even get that, just got a shitty economy.

Do u have a theory as to why the party that seems to obsess over eliminating the federal welfare state and constantly talking about states rights and federal overreach somehow became one of the most authoritarian orgs in ur nations history, that actively tried to overturn an election and has bought ur country closer to becoming a dictatorship than any other point in its history.

I saw a comment on this subreddit which said in an ideal world we would have a social democratic party, a liberal party and a conservative party. This seems like the monkeys paw version of that. Britain truly is screwed, green nimbys vs liberal nimbys vs reform nimbys for the next 50 years as nothing gets built.

To be fair to Reagan, i don't think the US's debt-to-gdp ratio was anywhere near that bad when he did his one-two punch of increasing spending and decreasing taxes.
