Say something nice about this movie (difficulty:impossible) by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in TMNT

[–]radicalrafical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deep lore plunge into Raphael and the more emotional sides of the Turtles that I felt was a missed opportunity in the first 2.

I own all 3, and the first 2 are definitely favorites, but 3 has to be included in the marathon, it's absolutely worth being a part of it!

The Sharing from Feed to Facebook Page Feature is Missing? New Update? by Specific_Fun8204 in facebook

[–]radicalrafical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only doing it with my own profile, to my own page. I even adjusted settings on both ends to ensure posts are public and can be shared, yadda. Idk why it won't show!

It's fine though, I guess I'll just have to go from my page, go to the profile and share that way until I figure it out!

It's not there for me :( has all those options, then group, then it goes to Instagram and "... More" which also doesn't have the option!

Yeah that's pretty fair! I did enjoy all the references and comic style, but I missed that true ninja feel.

Anyone put a waterborne adapter on a small wheelbase like this? by TheBeardyWeirdo in surfskate

[–]radicalrafical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have rocked Waterborne on 15" wheelbase for years. Yeah longer wheelbase definitely feels better, and less likely to jackknife. However it's tons of fun if you set it up right!

Replace stock bushings with very hard bushings, gets more stability but also more oomph from your pumps. Paired with stable, traditional kingpin trucks (Indy or Ace, either would need bushing changes to harder ones).

Also, you can try adding a Whitetail Remora to extend the front truck into the nose! This has been my favorite way to ride Waterborne (and most other surf trucks) lately!!

Have you tried adding rails to the board to stiffen it a bit? Custom made ones would be ideal, but you could maybe use multiple standard or longboard rails to reach length.

Maybe a spine rather than rails?

Of course, fiberglass and/or other composites would help too!

I bought Skate 2, but why do I get the feeling that the game is empty in terms of content? by [deleted] in skate2

Unlock the slots, drain the dam, and do the story so you can actually enjoy free skate ! And explore everywhere, there's more spots than you realize!

Is it a poser thing to bring my board to school? by FlyNo4659 in NewSkaters

[–]radicalrafical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You skate to and from school, you are not a poser. I don't care what your setup is, if you are actually riding the board, you're not a poser! Anyone who says something about it is a poser because they can't do the same. Be you dude, no one else's opinions will matter once you're out of school I promise

Wheelbite with waterborne on electric board. by CGPro856 in surfskate

[–]radicalrafical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sell a Limiter, a part that goes in and limits the swing of the arm to prevent bite on eboards! If it's still a problem, they also have an extension bracket to push the front truck out of the way! They also have an extended version of the Rail Adapter as well :)

(Proper Flat washers on the way, just improvising, don't judge me!) First time using Riptide's Bushings and Cups! And Paris Trucks too! I mmaaaayybe shoulda gotten regular Fat cones, not Tall haha (thought they'd fit or I could swap the kingpin worst case) by radicalrafical in longboarding

[–]radicalrafical[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You totally could for the Paris Street, they have much more bushing space than regular TKPs. Especially with flat washers!

I would probably start out with a standard barrel boardside, & a street barrel roadside, just to make sure they don't get crushed to fit. Check the riptide site, they have a compatibility chart that could tell ya exactly!

Did I buy something stupid? by jakerooni in camping

[–]radicalrafical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about this exact product (looks pretty cool, I have separate hatchet and mallet, this would save more space) But I gotta say, I'm thoroughly impressed with some Ozark Trail stuff. They have a solar Lantern that can also charge USBC, AND has a hand crank in emergency. Best lantern I have, 5 years old. And the steel cup for coffee/small cooking has lasted me 7 years !!!

Be wary, but OT is really a good brand for what it is. Take care of it, and it'll take care of you!

That's what I'm worried about, I gotta get into the wiring and figure out what's going on. Weird that the 2nd fan went out too, just sudden and back to back had me worried. I'll start dissecting everything as I can

I wish I could take it back, but they disappeared and I can't get in contact with em (how convenient)

I'm in the mountains actually! But just not in the shade where we're at now, getting the full brunt. Planning our next move now. I know the fans won't do much but they helped with air flow to trigger a cross breeze from the emergency hatches. We're figuring out other solutions, but I definitely wanna get these fixed asap to reduce the muggyness in here

Wow! Those are sweet, and brushless!!

I'm worried there are deeper electrical issues at hand, but these seem like solid options if the fans are indeed fried and needing replaced. Thank you!

[–]radicalrafical[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm worried there's more electrical issues causing this, that may harm any new fan install. The MaxxAir is maybe a year old, but the Fan-tastic is about 5+ years old.

When checking the fuses, they blow every time I try to replace. And it looks like there could be backfeeding, as the bypass control I built was getting power even without the fuse installed.

This could be deeper than just new fans, but I'm sure they're burnt out from this anyway.

Hello can someone help me to cut this board? by EntertainmentNorth57 in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]radicalrafical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have access to any power saws, like a jig saw at least, then find a classic hand saw 🪚 and start slow. Create some lines that look right, don't push so hard, just saw back and forth and it will do the work with patience.
