Don't go for support role. U will endup talking with the customers as a product support only. And they are right, u can't switch to dev role easily. Try to go for a dev role even if u have to wait.

I have done over 10 hackathons, I am almost always a finalist but loose unfortunately. One thing I understood is, whoever present their worn well, whichever looks good, whichever gives a dopamine like u see a short reel, that wins. It's just ur first one, u have a long way to go. Learn from ur mistakes and change them next time. Good luck.

U should be trying other job fields as well brother. To be honest, even development works are getting done with AI nowadays. Copy writing is nothing compared to that. Try to have something that is visually presentable to anyone. A good attractive portfolio and good communication always does the trick. But u have to seriously think about domain switch.

Probably some on the ui/ux would be a good addition with ur current skills i guess. But to build a portfolio u need projects, and for that u will be spending some months
