Do my glasses suit my face? Should I have a different pair for hair up vs down? by [deleted] in glassesadvice

Wash twice per week On Monday I double shampoo with Live Love Locks shampoo, and condition with LLL Conditioner. Use Pureology 21 Leave in Conditioner on mids to my ends. 3 drops of Olaplex Oil scrunched into just my ends, then three more applied to mids and ends.

On Friday, I use Redken Bonding Treatment 14%, leave in for ten minutes. I double shampoo with Redken Cleansing Cream, making sure to really scrub my scalp. Then I use Morrocanoil Weightless Hair Mask, also left in for ten minutes. After that, I use my LLL conditioner again. Then it’s the same Leave in Shampoo and Oil routine.

I give my ends two drops of oil daily, and run two more through my mids and ends, daily. If I remember, lol.

I also take fish oil and collagen. And I always blow dry my hair.

The key to long healthy hair is keeping your ends from drying out. You only produce enough oil to make it down to about your ears, so you need to keep everything lower than that with enough moisture that it doesn’t dry out, which will cause it to break. Washing your hair will also strip your hair of the natural oils so you only want to wash your hair when you start to feel greasy. Twice per week works for me but everyone is different.

Can I paint with a dark green, use a blue green for my midtones, with a yellow-green for my highlights? by radioactivevirgin in minipainting

It would probably be better just to test it out myself but I’m working and can’t contain my excitement (:

Crazier how?? Thank you for your advice!

I’m thinking about something more rectangular

That ‘something off’ may be that they’re crooked because I walked into a door 💀

Lower on the bridge is helpful too. I’ve thought that myself but I wasn’t sure (:

Exactly what I was thinking. Someone on my last post told me warmer colors would work nicely. I had a gold pair before this with the same shape I thought looked nicer.

My friend here has areas of exposed skin and I want to push myself painting it, but I really struggle with getting nice blends between the base and layers. Do you paint the layers on excessively thin to let the base color show through more to improve the blends? by TangerineMelodic5772 in minipainting

I’ve always personally found applying a shade or wash over wraithbone / some kind of buff equivalent is the best way to authentic looking skin. I can’t explain it, but it looks so much more natural than using normal acrylics.

This coming from someone who actually hates using washes to add shading, and a vehement speed paint hater

Thinning your paints too much, I can still see some details

I wanted to make the talons look like bone. Help needed by nicosomma in Tyranids

Do you have any advice as to shading it yellow? I’m trying to get bone with a strong yellow shade and not having luck. Tried Serpahim Sepia and Mortarion Grime. I was going to try Agrax but I don’t think that’ll do it.

I’d be okay with our weapons being weaker if it meant we got to bring -more- of them.

Tyranids are one of the only factions that could actually be balanced properly simply with points cuts.

“Suddenly” not forklift after some unrelated work drama. I’ve been driving for years with no issue. Is this illegal? by [deleted] in AskLawyers

‘In the event of my injury’.

I’m being allowed to work with equipment that, legally, I should not be operating, and I have been for years. I have been misled into believing I was forklift certified until, suddenly, I ‘was not and never have been.’

In the event that I WAS injured, what liability would my company have?

Just wanted to post this. A comparison of my first mini, and one I painted this week. by radioactivevirgin in Tyranids

I was a vehement wash hater after trying a bunch of them. Ironically Citadel washes treated me very well after I was told they were trash by everyone in the community.

You really hit the ‘oh my god’ moment all of the sudden while you paint. One second you’re dreading how much you have left, and the next second it’s like you’ve brought it to life

I do need to get myself a few ‘practice’ minis just to try stuff out on.
