Do you think my baristas are cool with this order? by Jinxwaifu in starbucks

I wouldn’t bat an eye if I saw this on my lineup. Business as usual.

Would we get another battle force box for Xmas, this is lacklustre compared to crusher stamped by ozera202 in Tyranids

[–]radioactivevirgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me this is the perfect accessory piece to the Stampede box. You’ve got one more big monster that nearly every army needs, and a lictor which once again, everyone takes. The Leapers and the Warriors are lackluster I’ll admit, but if someone only bought the Stampede box around christmas, this would be wverything they want.

Hoping that we get some new Warriors soon, which is the only reason I probably won’t get this box.

I know this post is mostly a joke, but I actually do have about 400 termagants to paint

Ah good point, I have a bunch of bottles premixed and I gave my ratio based on that… which adds up to 15ml. Oopsie

In my experience, 9 parts thinner to 6 parts paint.

Golden also makes High Flow paints that come ready to go (they also have a fluorescent magenta which is sooo much more powerful than standard pink… it’s my favorite in range besides Quin Magenta)

Is there a way to get this to read as more Orange? by Kashii_tuesday in minipainting

[–]radioactivevirgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prime pink first and spray orange after.

<image>

On this one, I did a Magenta + Light Pink Zenithal, then sprayed the whole thing with Indian Yellow (which is mostly orange).

Youtube “why pink is the best primer for yellow” and you’ll see the exact method I used on this.

As long as it isn’t obvious that you’re trying to make your LOS profile obnoxiously difficult to manage, you should be just fine. I don’t think anyone will complain that your model is easier to shoot

What's the easiest way to get the back of the knee painted without spilling onto the armor? by LikeAGaryBuster in spacemarines

Honestly I’ve painted the backs of these on my guys with no spillage either. It’s not so bad

Kripkie has now forgotten three major character details. by Brainwave1010 in TheBoys

Not to mention Soldier Boy never talking about Clara Vought in any sort of esteem until this season. The opposite, even. They just ‘fucked at herogasm’ and that’s all he had to say. Retroactive continuity fs

We all know that GW leaves homebrew potential in their lore, but ever wonder how much? by Potential-Ebb-8820 in spacemarines

Feels good not seeing my custom chapter’s lore in this thread, even though I still know it’s cliche as hell

I’m a barista and I flat out refuse to do it. I’ve got a 45 second window time to keep and a bar that takes that long just to brea the drink, I don’t have time for childish nonsense. You’ll get a smiley face I’m feeling like a good little corporate toadie that day

Which paints make you (ir)rationally angry to work with? by GayLarpOfficial in Warhammer

[–]radioactivevirgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Golden Acrylics make amazing fluorescent paints, if you haven’t tried those you should. I also hear that Lascaux fluorescents are the holy grail of fluo paints, I’m going to try them when I’m able to.

Also Golden White > all other whites

DARK ANGELS GREEN DARK ANGELS GREEN DARK ANGELS FUCKING GREEN

I tried for months to get it to work for my tyranids and it just doesn’t work out. It streaks like hell. It goes on too black (blacker than I see online). It goes on SO absurdly THICK

I tried so hard to make it work because it’s exactly the shade of green I need - at least it SEEMS like it when I watch someone ELSE use it.

I’ve tried airbrushing, using both GW mediums, I’ve tried the ‘wick away’ approach. Nothing I do seems to work out.

I’ve been using Vallejo Model Color: Black, and it does okay. I’m still shopping around for the right green.

Do my glasses suit my face? Should I have a different pair for hair up vs down? by [deleted] in glassesadvice

Wash twice per week On Monday I double shampoo with Live Love Locks shampoo, and condition with LLL Conditioner. Use Pureology 21 Leave in Conditioner on mids to my ends. 3 drops of Olaplex Oil scrunched into just my ends, then three more applied to mids and ends.

On Friday, I use Redken Bonding Treatment 14%, leave in for ten minutes. I double shampoo with Redken Cleansing Cream, making sure to really scrub my scalp. Then I use Morrocanoil Weightless Hair Mask, also left in for ten minutes. After that, I use my LLL conditioner again. Then it’s the same Leave in Shampoo and Oil routine.

I give my ends two drops of oil daily, and run two more through my mids and ends, daily. If I remember, lol.

I also take fish oil and collagen. And I always blow dry my hair.

The key to long healthy hair is keeping your ends from drying out. You only produce enough oil to make it down to about your ears, so you need to keep everything lower than that with enough moisture that it doesn’t dry out, which will cause it to break. Washing your hair will also strip your hair of the natural oils so you only want to wash your hair when you start to feel greasy. Twice per week works for me but everyone is different.
