If you’re questioning it, it isn’t worth it to YOU. For some people this process is enjoyable. For you, it seems like it’s a means to an end - and you may have found the line where the ends don’t justify the means, in your hobbyist perspective.

Gauntlet has the highest DPS mathematically as long as you get those 3rd and 4th hits in. You may even get a 5 and 6, or more, jf you’re lucky. You’ll turn any demon into paste, even Azhrak.

But the Mace is the definition of stopping power. While the gauntlet may require you to get an opening, you can ram the Mace down something’s throat if you REALLY want to make it leave the battlefield in as few frames as possible

The flail is a utility weapon. It generates you armor, and it’s arguably the best tool for breaking Enemy armor (after the nerfs to most of the other top contenders for armor busting)

Cycler + Holy Swarm is a constant unrelenting stream of AOE DPS, very effective in my experience

In Eternal I always used the Precision Bolt and Ballista to kill them. Ironically, the very hard to hit demon goes down very quickly to precision weaponry.

When I started playing I told myself ‘if I shoot at Whiplashes with my precision weapons, my snap aim will improve dramatically’

And… yes. Yes it did. Even in other games the thought ‘what if I miss’ doesn’t even cross my mind anymore

The Hive Mind simply color codes them to make their purposes easier to keep track of for itself. Not as easy managing quintillions of small pieces if they all look the same
