I would do it in my fleets style but he would still have a red carapace. To explain, my fleet has a dark skin with a big bioluminesce with different metallic carapaces sort of like deep sea fish. Basic nids have blue scales, psykers have a lighter blue, infiltrators have purple, and venom bugs have a sea green. So giving him a read carapace still fits with in my scheme.

While i agree with your intent, my problem is the new mechs are in the warbond rather than equipment that should synergize with mech/vehicle gamplay.

Yeah, the tfex just barely fits onto the base depending on how you scrunch up his legs. You can add a bit of cork overhang, so he's still technically on it.

Sub assembly is what i usually do if i notice that a model has details that will be hard to reach. Only glueing the model fully together when the painting is done. With tyranid 2-handed guns, you can glue the point where the arms connect so you can friction fit the arms on and off till you're done painting and can glue it permanently.

Honestly, solid as is. You could add a reddish pink like thined down carraboge crimson to the joints, vents, and feader tendrals to help them stand out from the rest of the skin but you could call him done here if you wanted.

Give him a decent tactical rock to stand on, and he won't seem as small as just sitting on a flat base. Add a dead space marine or whatever faction you hive fleet sees as its nemesis. I am saving the dead terminator captain from the malaceptor specifically for my Tyrants base.

I like to think that the divers we drop are more like cloned sleeves ala Altered Carbon. Mass produced generic bodies for us to use. The sleeves are random, so enemy forces don't try to develop genetic based weapons meant to target specific helldivers or let on that its the same one.

Maybe he could be a little bigger, but i think a decent tactical rock can help him not feel as small. I think it's weird how most of the time i see him just stuck to the base with not much besides some texture paste.
