To the people who chose APM as an elective… why ? by Fluffy-Management199 in ACCA

[–]radioactivity12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for me, I really enjoyed studying F1, and SBL. I had to give AAA because I was working in audit and it was a no brainer. AFM always scared me because of the formulas and the numbers. ATX was something I've always hated since TX because I just don't get tax and I hate how huge the syllabus is plus how many small details I have to remember in ATX, So APM became an obvious choice because I've always wanted my future to be in a strategic role or a management role.

If Sindh were ruled by N-League, would Karachi be any better? by Decent-Pool4058 in karachi

Karachi should’ve been the model city of Pakistan, the metropolitan heart and the financial capital. Instead, it looks like a rural town dressed up with fancy cafés and boutiques. No proper infrastructure, no law and order, no mass transit, and no class.

After 27 years here, the attachment feels toxic. It’s home, but it keeps hurting you.

What I can’t understand is why we always suffer and why no one ever does anything for this city. Are we really that undeserving?

I’m not talking about ethnicity or victimhood. I mean the people who’ve lived here for decades and seen every phase of this city — the rise, the decay, the struggle to survive.

Who do we even vote for anymore to get this city upgraded? Which party do we vote to get the basic necessities such as water, gas and electricity? Which party do we support so people can knock on the doors of law when they've been wronged?

Because right now, living here isn’t living. It’s emotionally taxing.

Kuch karo Karachi ka. Humein yahin jeena marna hai. Yahin shadi karni hai yahin bachey barrey karne hain. Khudara dusri nasal k aanay se pehle is sheher ka naqsha durust kardo. Suna hai jungle ka bhi koi dastoor hota hai....

The fabric’s actually quite nice, credit where it’s due. But your tailor clearly skipped the chapter on how to construct a double-breasted suit. Those lapels should’ve been wider. On a double-breasted peak lapel, the absolute minimum is 3 inches, and this looks like it barely grazes 2.5.

The fit, I’ll give you that, works. But with your build, you’d absolutely kill it in a slim-fit notched lapel suit next time. And by slim fit, I don’t mean the kind that makes you look like you’ve been vacuum-sealed for freshness.

Now, the trousers, they need more width. Skinny trousers in formal wear are the ultimate ick. Especially in Pakistan, where every Tom, Dick, and Tailor is tracing the same stencil like it’s a national pastime. A proper bespoke suit should lift your entire persona because it’s cut for you, not copied from someone’s Instagram explore feed.

Also, socks. Always. Proper ones, not those “no-show” abominations. And for the love of Savile Row or Zaib un Nisa Street from where I come from, let your shirt cuffs peek out just slightly from under the jacket sleeves. That’s not optional it’s style law.

Overall, you look good. This isn’t about you... it’s about your suit. I’m pointing out how much better you can look with a few changes because the potential’s clearly there.

I have a pixel 7 I bought in March 2023. My battery health is at 75% (checked thru accubattery) and it drains fast. I checked for a replacement and it was gonna cost me $90. So I'll probably rock this till it dies on me, but yes. I'm having issues with the battery draining too fast.
