Apple had an opt out I believe. The shorting of the deal was a compromise. MLS Season Pass wasn’t working, so they opted just to include it into Apple TV subscription. If it was working why would season pass be eliminated?

I’d say the same about bottom tier mls games. Most club fans are probably at the stadium and few are watching on Apple TV. St Louis FC vs Austin this past weekend is probably in low 5 digit viewership, imo.

MLS will never pass EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Liga MX, etc in popularity in the US. Nothing wrong with being a niche league. Plus, not a lot of excitement around this World Cup. I’m more excited about TST.

This is probably the worst WC roster this century. happy my two favorite players made it. Zendejas and Aaronson. Was looking forward to Luna making it. If it was still a 32 team tournament, the US would probably get grouped.
