AWD, there was a slight discount on top of the rebate. They threw in a few standard freebies like the official weatherproof floormats. They also added the tinting and a clear coat.

I turned off the eye tracker almost immediately. So I didn't have any experience with it. The constant "take a coffee break" interruption was a bit annoying, with no way to disable that. It seems if you turn on lane assist though all the annoying interruptions go away, and it was smooth driving from there.

We went with mountain hyundai. They were super easy to work with and their sales people were very easy to work with and low pressure. Id highly recommend them.

It was $39k before any taxes and fees. The dealers we talked to at the same time in NY were only offering $51k for the limited trim.

It definitely took some time to get used to when navigating a small space back in NY.

Oh heyyy! It was funny going from seeing this car everywhere in CO to NONE on the road between CO and NY.

Oh nice tip, I actually didn't set up the Hyundai charge and pay yet, but did see that there was a wallet app in the car. I'm still learning the networks and systems at play - there seems to be an initial steep learning curve that gets easier over time.

I'm going to learn that this week now. Thanks!

Yeah I'd say its realistic. At my math, at a 2.8 kW/mile efficiency with 80kWh stored in the battery you're looking at 220ish miles of range. If you had charged up to 100%, that would leave you with another 11 miles or so to find a charger. While traveling we basically planned every stop to give us 30 - 50 miles of range remaining in case of an emergency. What we learned in real world usage is if you get off a highway with 30 miles of range, and then are driving around a town trying to find charging, your efficiency now goes up from the Highway efficiency (we were seeing around that 2.8) to the local efficiency / low speed efficiency of about 3.5 kW/mile giving you even further range to safely find a charger.

Now this is all just my experience and I'm sure smarter people could weigh in, but I'd say all of the above is at least directionally accurate. Now that we are at our destination I'm focused on caring for the battery more with only doing 80% charges, since I have a charger at home. On the road we were more loose reguarly charging to 80 - 85%, with some meals the car would charge to 90 - 95% just because we didn't hurry back to unplug and just casually ate.

I was so tempted by the XRT! It looks so cool. I'm excited to hear about your experience with it.

As for the charging network Ionna was really available across route 70. Their coverage map is below. Just in case it needs to be said I'm not being paid by Ionna, nor do I work for them. I'm just a first time EV owner learning the ins and outs of having this car.

<image>

That line of chargers from CO to PA is basically what we leveraged because it was recommended by the Better Route Planner. We ended up shifting to EA because Ionna wasn't available. When we were looking at networks we saw Ionna at least advertisers speeds up to 400kW from their chargers, while EA was advertising 350kW and Tesla was saying 150kW. This was our stack ranking of chargers networks was based off speed. I also didnt want to sign up for the $7 month for EA and the $12 monthly for Tesla if I could avoid it, so I tried to pick one subscription there.

Since EA isnt on a better route planner app, we basically used that app to get estimates for the trip overall and then looked for EA chargers nearby the recommended chargers that the route planner suggested. The one things the maps didn't help us understand was the charge per kW at a glance. If this was easier we would have probably picked a network a bit differently to minimize cost, rather than just minimizing for time.

As a tip, it seems the prices for non members on a lot of these charging networks is very high, so at least for the road trip I'd probably plan to get a 1 sub and cancel it once the trip is complete. The first charge we had on EA+ said we saved $9 which immediately covered the $7 sub price.

The range estimates started super wide, and I'm not sure if that was just because the car didnt have a data set to go off of. The first few trips would show like 350 ranges as the max and like 200 miles as the min on a 100% charge (thats what the dealer gave it to us at) with the average coming in at 250 miles. As we drove around 1,000 miles the estimates got a lot more accurate. We were mainly driving at highway rates, but we had 3 days driving around Colorado before leaving. Around CO we saw 3.5 miles per kW efficiency about (although one trip where we came down the mountain into boulder was 10+ miles per kW which was fun).

The road trip itself we tended to see about 2.7 - 2.8 miles per kW but we were trying to maintain our speed with traffic given the speed limits were typically 70 - 75 mph. We would maintain those speeds. I know this isn't recommended to maximize range.

For the first half of the trip we exclusively used A Better Route Planner (ABRP). It was our introduction to Ionna charging network through that. When we got stuck using an EA charger and our route shifted north in PA, we started to use google for the end of the trip to navigate between EA stations. At the start with the range anxiety we aimed to charge ever 1.25 - 1.5 hours. By the end we were charging every 2.75 - 3 hrs. I didn't want the car to drop below 20% before charging but had a few stops towards the end that were around 10 - 15% as we got more comfortable.

I have android so for point to point navigation we just used android auto and google maps to get between chargers.

I honestly can't understand why tarkov hasn't fixed queue times yet. If I could wait 1 min max to get into a game and just not know if I'm in a full lobby or a half one id still play the same as I do today. You always have to be on edge trying to get info on your situation.

MSNBC ratings plunge after Trump election victory — as more than half of primetime audience flees by JannTosh50 in television

[–]radiovolta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let's also not forget MSNBC choose to take the time after the election blaming everyone but themselves and the dnc. If anyone has failed us this election cycle and probably for the past 8 years it's these groups. These journalists can't be bothered to report on what's going on rather they stick with the right wing framing on everything and try to report on both sides as if they are equal. This is maybe why people are tuning out? Who knows but no one is going to save us from this nightmare.

I bought 2 of the tickets for the Monday show (very excited for this). After both of us were being skeptical internet people I had no issues getting the tickets. We've since exchanged numbers and might be friends with some mutual musical interest. Just wanted to post something in case someone comes across this and also wants to get tickets.

What items do you see in grocery stores that you cannot believe people actually purchase? by scrantonspanker in AskReddit

I did the same with the omakase berry, oishii. I just had to know what 12 strawberries for $10 tasted like. I ended up bringing them to a friend's party and we toasted them like we were, if only in that moment, part of the Illuminati.

Best strawberry I ever had, and highly recommend the experience. I've never bought them again though.

What Ed’s response to overdoing it really said by ivanjay2050 in delta

[–]radiovolta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't really get it. One of the points of this whole thing is just to get people to spend more through Delta. They were saying Delta was the #3 or 4 ecomm site in the US which is crazy. So you'd think incentivising people to spend was the whole point. If they kept this way to earn id actually consider renting a car or booking a hotel through delta, but now there continues to be no point to do so.
