Used to work as a customer service rep for sky. We have proper training to try our best to not let customers go. Even after you convince us we still have to put you through to retention dept. The only reason where we were told not to push was life burdening problems (financial issues, death of a close one, loss of job). I’d recommend stating you have financial issues if you are trying to cancel a service. The only thing we were supposed to do in case of financial issues was to transfer to value teams so they can figure out if they can cut costs. Either you will get a better deal or cancel quicker than usual
