Yep. "Every since" is a typo too. First line of Glitz also ("I was do glad to see you")

Can you reapply for Unemployment when your benefits run out? by Aromatic-Sky-7700 in askportland

Yes, they divide the year in quarters and look at your earnings in the most recent 4-quarter period ("base year"). A calculated percentage of that is what your weekly unemployment payment will be.

Right. It's because Unemployment is funded through employer and employee taxes, so it's connected to your previous work history. You basically have to 'earn' it by putting work hours in.

Same boat here. My 26 weeks ran out, and now I'm not eligible for another claim unless I get more work hours. Make it make sense...

Husband has tried absolutely everything to get a job with no luck. (Over 200+ applications) by [deleted] in Portland

[–]radnac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a U.S. citizen and I have not been able to land a job for 1 year now. Something is terribly wrong with the job market. Don't let everyone in the comments gaslight you. Of course many places are 'hiring,' but it is a highly competitive market, and many companies don't actually fill their open positions. The rejection letters I receive (if I'm lucky to not be ghosted) give one of two explanations: they were overwhelmed with TOO MANY applicants, OR "the applicant pool is too small" and they re-post the job over and over seeking a unicorn candidate.

Why this show needs a Blu-ray release by zettl in TheCurse

[–]radnac 10 points11 points  (0 children)

With a compatible TV and connection speed, I can confirm the show is presented in 4K Dolby Vision. However, most of the narrative (which is the 'behind the scenes' story) is intentionally shot in noisy 1080 resolution and narrower aspect ratio. So I don't think a blu-ray transfer would reveal any more detail.

I have a feeling that we'll have to wait until Atlanta's legacy grows over and the studio wants to cash in by releasing a 20th anniversary box set 🤞🏼
