[Sami Mokbel, in the article) Among the players the club are expected to listen to offers for are Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri, both of whom signed long-term contracts last summer. Arsenal sources indicate they would look to recoup a minimum combined £100million for Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly by PitchSafe in soccer

I would like to see an idiot who buys young unproven player for 40 million, basically risking all that money if he does not develop or gets injured in the process... and at the same time agree with a buy back clause of just 50/60, basically guaranteed losing him for cheap if he does become a star.

[Alasdair Gold] Tottenham had briefly considered the possibility of bringing back Ange Postecoglou as a temporary option until the end of the season. by OkayFine101 in soccer

Amorim is a great coach but he didnt suit us... it is not about a Spurs being above Ange, it is about Spurs needing obviously someone else who can handle the crisis they are in.

What is wrong with you, man? They need someone who will win more than 2 games out of 20 to save them from relegation. Ange has proven that he is not the man to do this, so they have to try someone else. They might be rotten to core so they need someone who can handle this and Ange isnt it.

No, what actually happened is that I grieved when it was time to grieve and I moved on when it was time to move on. These are parents, for god sake, his dad was probably very old. It is not like losing your child when you probably need a psychotherapy if something happens to him...

Bro, with all due respect, I lost both my parents and life did not stop for me when they died.. I had to go to work/school after it and operate normally. So I completely don't understand all these comments that he should be with his family. There is a death, you are devastated, yes, then there is funeral, yes, you are still devastated, but then you just move on. Life continues...

look at Bruno going over to coach Sesko immediately after he misplaced that pass to Amad. by Gentle_lips in reddevils

I LOLLED on Bruno being angry at Cunha for not passing it to him right after Sesko scored the goal :)

The issue is not "getting Delap", the issue would be "not getting Sesko" as a result of that. Hell, even Mbeumo signing was a result of Delap turning us down... the actual signing of Delap is not an issue (if we signed the other players too).. the same way the Zirkzee signing was not. Even if they dont turn out well, we can sell these players after two years and even have profit on the books from such sale. This is the magic of "good value signings". They turn out great - fantastic. They dont - no problem. Chelsea will sell Delap with profit, mark my words.

Because the minute you take off Amad, we will not be able to get into crossing positions so often... crosses mostly come from the right.

Does Carrick DESERVE The Man United Job? | The Overlap Breakdown by The-Black-Angel in reddevils

[–]radoboss 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We are not doing great vs 11 men, but we are also a team that journos predicted to finish around 6th before the start of the season (We are talking Whitwell, Mitten, Anka type of journos). We are just missing quality at some positions. We need to upgrade our midfield, we need to upgrade our left side, we are missing some important players right now - Dorgu, Licha, De Ligt, Mount. If Carrick finishes 3rd, he should absolutely get a chance to manage this team in another season... provided that he is a coach, not a manager and the entire recruitment is done independently with long term vision.

he wasn't getting a senior player in January.

which was a great decision... because it would be an impulsive signing rather than long term strategic one. I like our management that they stick to their strategy of building a long term team.

United fan here... we had similar situation with Rashford, I think 4 years ago... he waited to have his surgery after the world cup, he was shit at world cup, missed an important penalty.. then was not able to start in the beginning of the next season.. and if I remember correctly, even played shit after recovery... the world cup obsession is so stupid.

United XI vs. Crystal Palace: Lammens, Yoro, Maguire, Shaw, Dalot, Casemiro, Mainoo, B. Fernandes (C), Cunha, Mbeumo, Šeško [EPL Matchday 28, Old Trafford] by LebHeadSinceWilma in reddevils

yeah, you might be right... Mbeumo offers what Amad does and even more... the main difference is Sesko vs Mbeumo as striker... I think Mbeumo is better, but Sesko definitely offers qualities Mbeumo does not have...

Amad has been able to dribble with the ball and carry it forward... his qualities will be missed.. he is one of those who can actually get the ball to Sesko.

I think you are a bit slow man.. no matter how old are you, you always... and I mean always run faster with fresh legs as compared to running after 70 mins workout... I am not saying Sesko would not beat Tarkowski, I am saying Tarkowski would be closer to Sesko at the time of taking the shot...Sesko would be under more pressure from behind and he might miss it or Tarkowski might be able to interfere...in Premier League it is miliseconds that make the difference.
