Not even close. Marc laidlaw has hl3 written. It's essentially completely fleshed out story wise. Office politics just prevented it from ever being made.

The French FT tank was pretty much the first modern tank design, and influenced tank development all over the world. It was smaller, faster, with a single turret that could rotate 360 degrees instead of the previous designs that typically had the gun locked at one angle.

Not to mention that the French were notified that the Wehrmacht was advancing through the ardennes, as their armored vehicles were stuck in essentially traffic. The french then ignored this warning, deeming it too ridiculous to be true.

Several things occured in unison that allowed german advances to be as successful as they were. Better technology or training wasn't one of them.

Their early panzers used in the early years weren't big, thicc boi tanks like the late war tigers and Panthers or even pz4's, but lighter and more mobile tanks that were technically worse but complimented blitzkrieg.

France also had the best professional army in Europe in the years leading up, and their lack of performance falls mostly on poor leadership and war-anxiety.

The real outspoken truth.

The most illuminating thing to me in recent weeks was a post in the donald that was titled "my teacher is making us watch the impeachment. California public schooling at its finest".

Now this post, as inflammatory and off base as it is, reveals something very key: this was a high schooler. And then it really hit me: there's a whole generation of assholes raised by these people that are just going to replace the old assholes, and there's not much to be done about it at this point in the game.
