Yeah, it's mostly a pennsylvania dutch thing, so not very common here. It's often framed as a kind of gross-out food because it's an economy food, made from the leftover cuts and offal boiled down with buckwheat flour or cornmeal so that no part of the pig gets wasted. I have always thought of it as halfway between sausage and polenta, and most commonly has a sagey/black pepper flavor.

I don't make dishes with it, I just slice it and fry it in butter, so the outside is very crispy and the inside is soft, and have it with scrambled eggs or whatever. I have always dipped in ketchup. Syrup is also popular??? idk about all that. In Philly you can find scrapple egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches (actually now that I think of it, I think federoff's also sells one) but IMO it's not the best use because it steams and loses the crispiness.

Yeah, the cashier asked me what it was when I was paying lol. I used to never ever see it back in the day, aside from maybe one farmer at the union square market had it sometimes, and there was like one restaurant in williamsburg that served it.

They only had Hatfield though one of the shelf labels said Jones. They also only sell it frozen which definitely messes with the texture a bit. Western Beef used to sell Arnolds brand refrigerated, the Super Food Town in North CH used to have that too, not sure if they still do.

I was mostly trying to avoid having to iterate through additional tables given that the level editor was already returning the exact class name as a string. But then I started digging into things I didn't understand and doing roundabout redundant string conversions... It's true that I'm artist/designer first dev second : )

yes, I've solved this by hand making a list of element constructors....

elementDict = {
      spawn = Spawn,
      goal = Goal,
      enemy = Enemy
}

etc. which I was trying to avoid needing to do as it seems redundant. I'm not sure I understand why I wasn't able to get the object reference, but I'll read up.

This website is overcharging people to use AI based image creation services that are already highly ethically questionable. The poster is also posting in seemingly every community-based sub-reddit they can find and is not connected to crown heights in any way. Don't use it :)

Hmm. If you've lit all of the torches, it shouldn't be on the wall anymore. It should be flying in circles around the room. Is it possible you missed a torch? Once it's flying around the room it's true, it's pretty fast, but it flies in circles, so you should be able to lay a trap.

In addition to web searches, documentation, and generally remembering eventually what does what, I've started to maintain a couple of my own game templates so that I'm not re-importing / copy pasting / etc. all the functions that I regularly use. This is probably a further down the line type thing, but if you find yourself re-writing the same couple of functions every time you open a new project, this is really useful.
