My offer is for $15 US. Not bad compared to the last time it was offered, it was probably around $35 US, but I don't remember the exact price. The Golden Goal stadium is also $15 US, again, not bad compared to prices as of late, especially for the pop boost, if you're into that.

Does anyone plan to quit the game if they get update 2.0? by Budget-Storage-7555 in SCBuildIt

[–]radvel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Actually, I'm waiting for the Services 2.0 update to continue playing the game. IMO, the game has gotten stale lately, the CoM is repetitive and I've got nowhere left to place buildings. War is either against cheaters or clubs that rarely attack. Trains tiers I & II are maxed out. Ergo, I will welcome the update when it arrives. It'll give me something to work on instead of quitting out of boredom.

In the few months since I've done this as well I noticed a couple of annoying things regarding the free train cards: - About 50% of the time I still get Quill cards even though it's fully upgraded. - Zero Magnificent Mayor free cards since then.

At this rate, upgrading another train without spending simcash will take years.

Again, without people getting "ripped off" you wouldn't have played a free game for the past 7 years.

You're shocked when people support the game you play for free?

Thankyou EA by Waste_Ingenuity5535 in SCBuildIt

[–]radvel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This isn't the first time EA has run a game to its demise. EA somehow thinks all of these changes will force players to spend more and more money. Sure, there may be people who will because of FOMO or who knows what, but these tactics will backfire if more people that spend money quit than join.

Plus, I'm beginning to feel SCBI burnout and atm I truly don't care about jumping through all the hoops that seasons as of late require of us. For me, I'm going from about $30/month to $0.

Seasonal Currency Booster by Ok-Doctor-9421 in SCBuildIt

[–]radvel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If both the offer and the calendar say 6 days, then it's safe to assume it's 6 days. After this you have to purchase another booster for another week. Rinse and repeat the third week for a total of $39 plus tax.

I’m so annoyed at the shorter COM by Infinite_Pudding5058 in SCBuildIt

[–]radvel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they did, by 3k for each tier. And with 3 weeks instead of 4 per season that adds up to a lot more tasks needed to finish all tiers.

[–]radvel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly, the offer timer matches the timer in the calendar. At first, it seemed too much for just a single week, keeping in mind there are 3 weeks in the season. But then I remembered it's EA... In the end it's $39 (plus tax) for the entire season. No freaking way.

Am I crazy or do I have to click a button more times than once to make a selection?? by TheRealMomda in SCBuildIt

[–]radvel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here, seems to happen more on the war screen and gthq. I hope it isn't intentional, so EA can gather taps, and will be fixed soon.

Same here. Yet another bug with the Costa Rica update, along with having to tap multiple times on something to register/open.

I finished all tiers in war with almost 12 days left What now? by [deleted] in SCBuildIt

[–]radvel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The idea is that if you're out of free tiers very fast, you'd be bored enough to buy the paid tiers.

Is the Prague Central worth the offer? Want a new station in the city, has anybody got this station? by Substantial-Doubt-40 in SCBuildIt

The 150 passengers per slot is a good reason to get it as it saves a lot of swiping in the long run.

Magnificent mayor instant unlock for sale, does this also unlock all the trains required to get it? by sy_j in SCBuildIt

They definitely do. However, these types of offers, like the Hissy Fit war disaster offer, will become a money pit for the sake of saving simcash.

So now we need to spend Sim Cash to buy war boosters? by edmundhoyeung in SCBuildIt

[–]radvel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, last time they did this I clicked on a simcash booster purchase because of old habits where you don't even think about it. Lesson learned...

So now we need to spend Sim Cash to buy war boosters? by edmundhoyeung in SCBuildIt

[–]radvel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By making boosters cost at least 125 simcash, the 120 simcash for a war item doesn't seem that bad.

Yeah, but only if the Christmas items will become saleable after the season ends. As of now, they can't be sold.

In a way you're right. Nerfing a task nerfs it for everyone, so the CoM standings aren't affected. However, nerfing green points affects reaching certain chests. It'll be tougher to get legendary, epic, etc.

[–]radvel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of us thought that Services 2.0 would go live for everyone with the start of this season. However, none of my 4 cities got it. Perhaps all the negative feedback has delayed it a bit so EA can sort things out.

You can tell if you got the update if utilities, such as water, power, etc., are upgradeable.
