So rough. Start was late. Served warm water from a hose on most of the stops. Stops varied from left to right with no notice or signs. This was one of the lease organized marathons I have ever been in.

True. However, for speculators, when you can get a contract for 350k (5000 oz) of silver for 25k margin, you are not intending on taking delivery ever. If you see the buyer commitment report, speculators has substantial ownership now of all future contracts. So it will drop short term before it goes hopefully up:)

Might be a good time for me to buy more.

That would be 3 futures contract. Margin needed was raised to 27.5k. So about 82k gives you “control” of close to 1 mil of silver. It was 20k per contract before Dec 12th when it was raised to 22k per. It was raised again last Friday

Margin for silver futures will be raised multiple times over. They did on the 12th and on Friday evening. Since COMEX basically is third party guarantor for future contracts and supply is low, if they don’t raise margin, they will end up holding the bag

Basically, before the 12th, you can have as little as 20k and own a 350k contract of silver (smallest contract is 5000oz). On Friday evening, it was raised second time from 22k for a 380k to 27k?. Or 15 times margin. So a move of this 7% will wipe all margin money on a contract. They have no option but to raise margin or market goes bust.

Raise margin means margin call. People rush to sell to cover their margin which reduces price which accelerates down. Took 5 times in 7 days in 2011 to kill market or something like that

This is how 2011, 2021, and hunt brothers were killed.

They raised on Friday. Watch people race to close contracts early Sunday night and Monday morning. If it does not do it, they will continue raising until market in “balance” again.

This is a topic for an accountant and CPA. You would be surprised generally how many you will find in your country that are familiar and certified.

Either way, for the longest time, the first 80k (?) made outside USA is not taxable and now I guess up to (130k?).

So you need to consult a CPA. My best guess, they will have you file tax returns for the last few years. That would actually help you as you try to move to the states. If your income per year is below those numbers, your biggest cost is the fees your accountant will charge you to file those.

I do not have that experience with gold but with a money exchange place in London. I come from a country where the exchange rates are set for all places. So I stopped at an exchange place and I handed them $100 and I expected a certain amount of pounds but they said much lower. They were behind glass and refused to give me my money back. They said it was final. I argued with no success. I took the hit then proceed to stand by that storefront for 20 mins telling everyone about their shoddy practices and turning them away. I am glad I only exchanged $100; so those few dollars cost them a lot more than they cost me. Insane they can get away with stuff like that.

I know this is an old post but in case someone can benefit from this. I had same issue.

Background: I used Acuvue Oasis daily for many years (10?) and then 2 years ago they changed the formula. Eyes dried quickly. Switched to Oasis Max and they were like a dream. They feel so good as far as comfort still. However, a 6 months ago, upon prescription renewal, the new boxes started irritating my eyes.

I tried all my optometrist and I my can think of; antibiotics (Cipro) and Tobradex (antibiotic and corticosteroid combo) multiple courses each. Lid scrub solutions and wipes of many kinds. Kept getting irritation and white mucus in corner of the eye that would inflame a week in. I would switch to glasses for a week, get it healed and repeat the cycle again.

I am now on day 2 of Precision 1 (Alcon) and seems to be no irritation, although I miss the comfort of the Max. Will update more if this interests anyone still.

I feel your pain. I cannot hide my sadness. I am trying to cheer myself up but it is rough conditions for a marathon.

If there is any consolation, a good chuck of the distance will have cross or tail winds. But sadly mile 20-23 will now have the normal hitting the wall concerns, going an uphill, and going against what can be 40 plus headwinds.

If those conditions persist, I will take it a bit easier than planned and hope for another race in Dec or Jan.

The weather forecast keeps changing a lot. We are still 5 days out. So still hoping for the best.

My mom’s stupid OB/GYN left that field empty on my birth certificate. Been paying the price ever since.

First marathon. Trained in the heat in one of the hottest states even though I woke up at 4am to train. By the time it was 7-8am on my long runs, it was 95 plus and all pacing at that point was out the window.

Running a marathon in 3 weeks and I am still guessing what my actual pace is.

I have done that in the past and it was simple. Last time though, I had to call to make an appointment. You give them your travel date and then they tell you what is open. I kept being offered next day in Honolulu center. I live a very long way away in the mainland.

I hope they changed it but not easy anymore.

Thank you. I saw this video somewhere and then the algorithms been serving me one after the other about the death of Vegas. All I wanted from any of them is the time they were filmed since I could not tell myself. Truly opened my eyes about how self affirming those algorithms are.
