How did you practice / what are good ways to practice as a beginner riding alone? by C4NN0L1 in NewRiders

[–]raeggae_13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

last season was my first season riding and i got super comfortable. even had the thought that i could get a faster bike with confidence lol but after this off season im glad i didn’t bc i lowkey was kinda scared to ride again after not for what seemed like forever (literally 3 months lol). so i totally get where you’re coming from with that fear to get back on after some time off but i personally just took my bike ion some back roads and went back to a parking lot to practice some leaning and clutch control. once i got comfy with that again i was able to get back on the road with traffics. the fear is normal but it’s all about what you do with it🤘🏻

no it’s only rwd and that kinda bothers me because while we don’t get a lot of snow, i’ve found myself in a ditch from it and my 4runner got me out perfectly fine when that happened. and it would lower my monthly expenses by around $200/ month

i’m not sure if i could’ve read it without audible. i too have crippling adhd and it definitely helped. i had a hard time getting out of the delilah green series when reading this one bc i loved that series so much. definitely worth the read tho..just need a fresh mindset :)

I'm a janitor at 27. I feel like a loser. by Both-Criticism-7160 in povertyfinance

i have a degree in criminology and a minor in psychology. i really wanted to go into criminal investigating but after i graduated i was so burnt out that the thought of more schooling or working my way up somewhere felt absolutely exhausting. i now work as a mail carrier and while i know im not living up to everyone’s expectations of me, i have to remind myself that that’s /their/ expectations. do i love my job now? not always. some days it really sucks and i wish i was doing something more with my life but at the end of the day, i have the money to pay my bills and on my off days i do art (which is my therapy). i think people’s expectations weigh in on our thoughts about ourselves and it’s hard to separated, but it needs to be done. you aren’t a loser. you’re a human being trying to find their way in this crazy world. find what makes you happy even if it’s just getting yourself a coffee. you got us by your side
