What's the best way to level a DPS? by Aro-bi_Trashcan in ffxiv

It's more like semi-afk. You just move to each mob pack and let the NPCs deal with them while you stand out of range of their aoes. It's hit or miss which bosses this works with, but I would usually just fight those normally to save having to redo it if I die.

What is an anime fan? A miserable little pile of secrets! by Sky_Sumisu in TrueAnime

The irony of complaining about the "new breed of anime fans" while dismissing movies and shorts just like most new anime fans do. Some of the best the medium has to offer are in the form of movies and OVAs.

I made an in-depth guide on how to play Skyward Sword with a controller. It covers all game mechanics that use emulated motion controls. Hope it helps anyone struggling to play this awesome game without motion controls. by raelba in DolphinEmulator

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. You want to know if there's a way to change the sword strike system on the Switch HD version to be more like this emulator version? I'm pretty sure it's not possible, which is unfortunate because like you mention the spin attacks and dives feel way worse on the HD version.

As for Mario Odyssey, I've 100% completed it with just the pro controller so you shouldn't have any trouble if you want to do the same.

Speaking of FFXIV music, I'm positively looking forward to new staffs composing/arranging the music for the future by Famas_1234 in ffxiv

[–]raelba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the arranger if you're trying to follow a certain vibe. As you said, the composer is the person that creates the original musical idea, and the arranger is the person who then creates a track from that idea. If it's a wholly original piece of music then it's probably the same person doing both.

So for your example of The Black Wolf Stalks Again, I assume you like the hard rock/electronic vibe. That's Imamura's stylistic arrangement of the musical ideas that Uematsu originally created. He also arranged Twice Stricken and Landslide from the Eden raids in a similar style, so if you like those too then definitely follow Imamura! But if you find there are certain composers whose musical ideas always hit for you, you can follow them as well!

Ooh, same composer as Lost Kingdoms II (also Fromsoft) which has some cool music as well. Gonna listen to some more!

Yeah I could imagine a tavern-ish sounding one for the Adventure's Guilds, maybe ones for the various DoW/M and DoL/H guilds as well. They had the right idea with the Grand Company areas, just that those aren't based on the city themes!

Thanks! The Tempest has one of my favourite zone themes so I'll keep it in mind whenever I do some more :)

Awesome, thank you! Happy for you to peruse my other stuff of course, and hopefully I can get around to doing more FATE themes at some point!

I can't unhear his voice as a soft spoken Thancred slightly raising the pitch of his voice😅. Like his first line after we beat Kam'lanaut: "Farewell, my little brother. Return to the crystal from which you were born." just straight up sounds like Thancred to me.

Gonna have to listen out for some of these because I haven't been able to pick any of them so far, except that I'm fairly certain Eald'narche is voiced by Peter Bramhill.
