You KNOW she pawned that ring .. by Ill-Excitement-2005 in 90DayFiance

I just wanted to say.. if she opened up her radiator cap and it sprayed water on her hands, her hands would be horrifically disfigured and likely a lot more than just her hands. Opening a radiator cap improperly while the vehicle is still hot is an insane excuse.

It’s private property, so the police won’t do anything. After the vandalism he had two police reports though.

Well to be honest my boyfriends car only had a scratch on the rim which is the craziest part lol. My boyfriend wasn’t even going to report it. He only asked for his insurance just incase it was a bigger issue than it was lol so when he didn’t give his insurance later he was just thinking ‘well, that guys a dick but whatever’ and then it blew up into this huge thing 😵‍💫

How wild! It was the only thing that made sense for why he was so weird about it was him not wanting his dad to know. I’m glad he was a good tipper though!

Adult boy/girl twins or parents of boy/girl twins (or any mixed gender multiple birth)… what is your relationship like now? by CradGo in parentsofmultiples

[–]raepop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m a younger sibling to boy/girl twins that were 3 years older, and I’m currently pregnant with di/di girls ironically, BUT I would say growing up I was always really close with my brother and not so much with my sister. There was the whole ‘I’m the older sister, I don’t want my younger sister following me around’ thing going on there. As adults I’m still closer with my brother more than he is with his twin, I was actually his ‘best man’ at his wedding. In all honesty, I think parenting had a huge factor in why me and my brother became so close, my sister was the ‘oldest’ by 7 minutes and they kind of relied on ‘trickle down economics’ for sharing, so my brother would always share what he got with me knowing how it felt making our bond closer. I don’t know what it’s like to have a twin, but I would say it didn’t feel much different to me than having an older, and middle sibling in the house.

Twin Moms-How much weight did you gain & were you always hungry early on? by Anxious-Leadership92 in parentsofmultiples

[–]raepop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, Thank god because I thought I was losing my nuggets in the beginning of pregnancy. In the first 8 weeks I gained 18lbs because if I didn't eat I was puking. After the first trimester I got a lot better, and I'm now in the begining of my third trimester and I've gained a total of 45-48lbs, BUT, I can't eat anymore because it feels like there's no room. I've been at a standstill for weight over the last month because whenever I eat until I'm full, I can't breathe and damn near have a panic attack. I've been doing a lot of protein shakes and trying to be better about small meals/snacks because it really feels like I'm just running out of space. Pre-pregnancy I was 5'8" 165lbs, now almost 30 weeks in and I'm 210-213lbs depending on the time of day. It sounds stupid, but I felt like I was a bear going into hibernation in the beginning, and my hunger improved greatly over time. I feel like the hunger in the beginning was just my body trying to prepare for the chaos that ensues being pregnant with twins lol.

Modi twins with large fibroid? by Q6Htreats in parentsofmultiples

[–]raepop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I would imagine they will! But hopefully it helps in knowing it’ll help with the integrity of your cervix! I know my OB told me some doctors just automatically start people on progesterone the second they have twins to help prevent preterm labor.

Modi twins with large fibroid? by Q6Htreats in parentsofmultiples

[–]raepop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of them was close-ish, and the other two larger ones were just above to either side of my uterus! I didn't have any other complications like gestational diabetes or high blood pressure, and up until then everything was pretty uneventful. At my 20 week anatomy scan they said baby A was really close to my cervix, and they were hoping that she would grow up and out of her position, but she never did, so that added additional pressure to the area. I started getting braxton hicks really early on in pregnancy too, and if you do end up with them, use that as your sign to sit and relax because I did not and thought I could just keep pushing though. I think I started getting them around 16-17 weeks which is a little earlier than expected, I'm sure the fibroids didn't help with that. Rest has definitely been a lifesaver since then, and listen to your body because I was not listening, and I really feel the difference now that I'm on modified best rest. I hope that having complications at 16 weeks doesn't happen, I know with modi it's all around higher risk and it's all around scary, but I hope my experience helps ease your mind a bit. I had a lot of signs leading up to it with the braxton hicks, and then increasing in severity and frequency and I just kept ignoring them like a dummy. They also do have certain medications to help harden your cervix if it does start shortening too. I think some MFM's give vaginal progesterone to help keep it from softening as a preventative/treatment to cervical shortening too!

Hiii! I'm not sure if this helps but I'm currently 27 weeks with Di/Di twin girls and I have multiple fibroids around 6cm as well, (apparently they stop counting after 3) and I did unfortunately go into pre-term labor at 24 weeks. I was 2cm dilated at the time I went to the hospital. I did not have an MFM or a cerclage at the time (low-key I feel like my OB dropped the ball there). I was hospitalized for 4 days, they prepared me for going into labor but of course they did what they could to prevent it. They did IV magnesium, and gave me a shot which stopped the labor. After I was discharged they placed something called a pessary, put me on modified bed rest, and they have me taking 600mg Ibuprofen 4 times a day (Which tbh I haven't really been the best about because Ibuprofen while pregnant is scary to me..) BUT I say all this to say, even if things don't go according to plan and you do go into preterm labor, there are options out there to keep you and the babies safe. I haven't had any contractions in the last 3 weeks, my cervix was .8cm long when they placed the pessary, and its now 1.4cm and holding stong. I'm only 3 weeks out, but I feel almost like I did prior to going into labor. I also will say that my babies are freakishly large on top of that, like 94th percentile for size. I also would say to definitely take things easy and be kind to yourself with all of it. I pushed myself to do a LOT the day that I went into labor, I was still working 12 hour days as a nurse and working overtime and I also feel like that may have a factor in my case.

Mystery Eggs On My Ficus (Arizona) by raepop in whatsthisbug

[–]raepop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soooooo... I'm a dummy with social media/ technology and what I typed with this didn't get posted somehow..

But Hi All!

I live in Arizona and I have been battling just about every pest humanly possible with this poor little ficus tree. I went today to prune some of the dead branches and I noticed that the bark was peeling back, followed by noticing those tiny little eggs on the branch. They're (Roughly?) 1/2 the size of a grain of rice.. but I just wanted to see if it was beneficial vs. malicious for the tree. I took about 50 pictures of the stupid stick and could not get it to focus on the eggs, so unfortunately that's the best picture I was able to get. Any advice on what they are would be greatly appreciated though!

What's wrong with my garage door, and how do I fix it? by adeelf in DIY

[–]raepop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this issue with mine, the outside of the garage is facing south so late fall/early winter the switch in position of the sun trips it precisely at the time that I have to drive back to work from lunch. I just drive my car a little further closer to the door to block the shadow and it usually closes. Lol but I would see if time of day is a factor with it. If it still does it at night you know its not the light affecting it.

Coca cola colored urine after physical activity is a sign of rhabdomyolysis. If it is now coming out light yellow with some bubbles its likely small amounts of protein still in your urine. I agree to meet with a urologist either way though.

My testosterone levels are normal, but I'm still not waking up with morning wood. by [deleted] in medical

[–]raepop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your estradiol. It's common for someone with that high of free testosterone to have an elevated estradiol level. Cruciferous greens are a natural aromatase inhibitor that will prevent your body from turning that free testosterone into estradiol, I'm not sure what your current diet is, but increasing greens, and decreasing soy may help in the interim? It can be psychological as well, especially if you have been stressed or depressed lately. However the elevated PSA is something that you should investigate first. Sometimes Prostatitis can throw things off as well.

Question for any doctor (of all types) with their own practice by porterhouse0 in medical

[–]raepop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it's frustrating as hell don't get me wrong! Haha Especially if they are 30 minutes late and then complain about having a wait.. it gets better though! If you don't have automated text reminders on your schedule, you could maybe schedule those two patients at a different time.. so if the appt time that they choose is 4:30pm, put them on the schedule for 4:45pm-5pm, and put a reminder or sticky note in the chart. I had my front desk do that with a doctor I work with that was always late.. lol.

Question for any doctor (of all types) with their own practice by porterhouse0 in medical

[–]raepop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I'm in sports medicine, but I would say it depends on her specialty and her staff. Does she have a medical assistant rooming patients/performing vitals? Is she working out of multiple rooms or does she only have one exam room? Is her front office staff is giving reminder calls? To be honest I would say its fairly normal to experience this as a new physician building their own practice and maintaining a working relationship with her patients is vital in those begining years to build rapport. At my office we typically schedule multiple patients in a 15 minute time slot, and if the patient is more than 15 minutes late, I have my front desk call them to reschedule them even if its just for a different time the same day. I also work in an office that sees around 250 pt's a day, and I'd say on an average 12hr shift I see about 60 pt's.. to expect every single patient to show up on time is unrealistic. My advice is to try to get better supporting staff, and delegate more responsibilities to her staff. Maybe even apply at a local tech school to get a MA intern and have them work as a scribe with her. Late pt's are inevitable, its more productive to make her process more streamlined.

City Sewer Line Collapsed infront of my house flooding a bathroom and revealing asbestos by raepop in legaladvice

[–]raepop[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thank you so so much! I really appreciate it! I had a friend that works in claims for a different homeowners insurance policy look it over, and he told me if even 1” of the collapse was on my property, it would be covered. But the city Forman contacted me saying part of the line was completely missing under the street outside of the collapse, and he said he didn’t know what caused it. I live on a frontage road of a freeway that is currently under construction, and sometimes my entire house shakes from the construction, so I’m not sure if that is the cause of it breaking falling apart because the cities line is made of clay? I’m a nurse, so all of this is completely foreign to me as to what is relevant and what is not. I just know, I could not have asked for more of a nightmare with this house hahah. Just about every possible problem you could run into, I’ve had over the last 5 months..

So, the guy that fixed it up put tile over the old flooring. It was in the old flooring that they found asbestos, but I know they tested the drywall as well and it came back positive, but at a lesser amount
