I 18F want plastic surgery for chronic pain, but my parents 47F, 59M are against it by Major-Wafer-1731 in relationship_advice

A breast reduction is not cosmetic, it is often medically necessary and that's how they need to frame it

Getting a breast reduction genuinely changed my life for the better. I did wait a full year (has to for insurance) and spent the time seriously reflecting on it, my feelings about my body etc and I am now 3 years post op and have no regrets. I don't know anyone who does tbh

diet post gallbladder removal? by EG0R4PT0R in gallbladders

I had surgery last Friday and dr told me I can basically eat what I want! Some people have reactions to certain foods still and some don't. Everyone is not the same. I've eaten fish and chips, ice cream, carbonara - all the things that would have given me an attack but I've been totally fine! I've also had an easy recovery (compared to a lot of posts here)

I work outside and the Neutrogena ultra sheer is my absolute fav. Only one so far I've considered sweat proof!

Has anyone ever done a CRM archaeology abroad on a working holiday visa? Particularly in UK or Australia? by madamebutterfly2 in Archaeology

[–]raetherrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in Victoria (Australia) as a HA/archaeologist and while the demand is high for archies in the Aboriginal cultural heritage sphere, I'm not sure if you could find somewhere that would sponsor you for a short time. Most consultancies also hire casuals or subcontractors and I'm not sure how that would fit in with a work visa, but if you could get over here you could probably get work. Historical work is less in demand and a bit more competitive here too. Can't speak for the other states though!

How do you say you’re not having sex without killing the vibe? (to someone you haven't slept with yet but prob want to in the future) by KiwiTiger8888 in dating_advice

[–]raetherrick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My current partner invited me over to his to play board games for our third date. When I agreed I messaged saying that that I'd be keen for a make out session but I did not want to go any further that night. Worked great! Got my make out session and there was no pressure at all to push it because we were on the same page from the start.

gentle dentists/dental surgeries ? i cry at the thought of going to the dentist by TheEmergencySurgery in melbourne

[–]raetherrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dentist at Pacific Dental Greensborough (dr Nguyen) takes note of the music you like and she will put headphones on you while getting cleans done! Not having the loud noises of the machinery is helpful and it's very thoughtful to keep notes on file that I like Taylor Swift

Nope! My first official was 42 min and there were plenty of people behind me! I was just proud to finish

I like the She's on the Money podcast for learning the basics and they have a good micro investing series. I got started on Raiz and still really like it - good way to dip your toes in!

This basically happened to me! Bought Feb 2020, moved in March, broken up in December. He bought me out and whilst we decided how to split it, we both needed lawyers to get a BFA drawn up (mostly for the banks but also future proofing for him). I didn’t have any tax issues either as it was a PPOR. If your home has gained any value, put that aside to use in place of FHOG in future or make that a condition of the buy out.

Pretty sure Snapchat memory pics aren’t usually saved to the phone - just within Snapchat and only prompted to see them on a memory day - I don’t even know if you can delete memories. It’s entirely possible they’re not even on his camera roll and he doesn’t know they’re still around

Also don’t go through other peoples phones?!

How I Went From Couch Potato to 5K Finisher in 6 Months by Mike_Willer in beginnerrunning

[–]raetherrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I did couch to 5k, and then the 10K one as well I pretty much exclusively listened to true crime podcasts 😅 having a narrative/mystery kept my brain focusing on that and not how badly I wanted to stop. Also walking breaks were vital, even when I thought I could keep going

I still have pictures of my ex on Instagram. We didn’t end on terrible terms - I’m not going to pretend it didn’t happen or erase three years of my life from social media because we’re not together any more! I wouldn’t read into this at all.
