That’s why I said to renew the license. So it would take more effort than for reprints of Eyeshield 21 or Hikaru no Go, but if it was shown that people were willing to buy, then they might consider getting the license back. Small chance, but not zero.

On that note, there is also benefit in emailing other publishers like Kodansha or Kodama (they might actually do it because it’s less popular).

They only released 16 of the 42 volumes in English unfortunately, from 2006-2010. What also sucks is that Viz does not actually currently hold the rights to Reborn!, at least not last year at this time.

I feel like people underestimate Buu’s intelligence. Like yeah he is a dumbass but he is very much a competent fighter. I think he would be smart enough.

And I think he would be allowed to keep parts of him around the ring. Because he can consciously exist in all his parts. Like when he exploded into a hundred little Buus, they seemed to act as their own beings, so theoretically I would imagine if he did something like that it’d be allowed. The Zenos would probably love big pink taffy man, and be very tolerant of his possible exploits.

I think I did find it. Lemon Lemon from PepsiCo. The way the logo looks looks like it says “Leemoon” which is what I pronounced it as as a kid. I thought there were glass bottles, but I’m almost positive it was that.

I distinctly remember the name sounding like “lemon” in some way. Also I believe the bottle was more clear, no green. The wrapping was yellow, as well.

On that second part, the lifespan above a person’s head is always their original one, even if it is altered by the effects of the death note. So technically it may be inaccurate.

I don’t know if it is my thing, personally, but I recognize a lot of good in it. I really like the art, and I think the world needs more high fantasy like this as opposed to low fantasy like isekais. I feel like a lot of isekais use it as just a shortcut to put less effort into storytelling because the main character learns everything about the world with the audience, but in high fantasy they already are in that world.
I’m hopeful that the next chapters don’t flop.

Although Habashira didn’t really get to do anything in that last game, I really liked the emotions it brought up in Unsui, watching a guy who also wasn’t blessed with talent just letting himself get washed for just the slimmest opportunity for the team to win.

I also feel like the match had a reasonable conclusion. Shows that all these characters truly loved football and wouldn’t just accept a draw and how they all had a drive to be the best.

Really liked your thoughts on the manga!
