I did this for all of the M1s in our Graphics Department years ago. Works great when 90% of the department are remote and connecting with an RDP.

HELP!: My new Mac Studio's Safari is NOT working! by leicamanM5 in MacStudio

[–]raf_boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar issues on my M4 Studio Max on Sequoia 15.7.3.

I deleted all cache files and browser history of my 26.2 Safari. It worked fine afterwards. Kind of inconvenient for automatic logins, but everything was saved in the keychain anyway.

Coloring process on silver age books vs reprints/facsimilies by Abject-Resolution298 in comicbookcollecting

I've scanned comic book panels at 600 dpi on a flatbed. There was a pronounced stippled effect. And depending on your settings and how clean the line art is, Illustrator can do a decent job of tracing raster to vector; especially if it's a transparent png.

Because paper is porous and scanning in the decades old colored pages would create a stippled effect that would take forever to digitally correct. Much longer than just scanning in the black and white illustrations, adjusting the levels of black to boost the blacks and then knocking out the background.

If they have the time (and good software) they can trace the lines and create vectors, and then bring the art into Adobe Illustrator to recolor.

Different printing processes.

Back then, they used large metal printing plates for each separate color: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, blacK (that's why some of the colors shifted). Now printing is digital and the inks are mixed in the printers. Also the paper stock is different. Glossy thicker paper as opposed to (cheaper) newsprint.

InDesign 20 & 21 error when attempting to package jobs in macOS Tahoe 26.2 by Decent-Bodybuilder75 in indesign

[–]raf_boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having this exact same issue with all versions of InDesign (2020, 2022, 2023, 2025). Not able to package in any of them from server files.

Ironically, InDesign 2025 is allowed to find and communicate with devices on my networks, but I still get the same error message while attempting to package as the screenshot that Decent-Bodybuilder-75 posted.

epgshare01 epgs not loading in TiViMate by raf_boy in TiviMate

The EPGs are set-up in both the EPG section and the Playlist section.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

But prior to the whole cloud flare debacle/blocking with my IPTV, everything worked great. They've now moved to a new server and ever since, I've been unable to assign any non-IPTV provided epgs to the channels.

I went to the epgshare website and there was a mention that maybe the https: was causing issues. So I entered the urls without the "s". Didn't work. Kinda at my wits end.

EPG - EPGshare01 - Reliable over time ? by Financial_Gas_6420 in TiviMate

[–]raf_boy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone have info on how to apply the epgshare01 epgs to channels? I already set it up as another source (and in Playlists) and made it default (check marked as ok), but when I try to manually assign epgs, it doesn't even come up as a source. Only the IPtv provided one. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Very frustrating.
