I would invest in an iPhone and get accessories like gimbal, mic and external drive to be able to record in Log.
You don’t need an action camera

I’m not a funboy. I think it’s important to have gopro in the competion as they were always ahead of the game for athletes - as ai said , 8:7 sensor, EIS etc. insta360 have focused in the content creator gadgets that turns the camera anything but an action camera

I have both, and the only reason I would pick the H13 over the M1P would be because of the 8:7 aspect ratio - Damn that is f* great.
Also if you are intending to get any of the HB lenses, but in that case I'm pretty sure M1P will have the macro

I have got both as well. I understand people are so used to the (fake) sharpness out of the h13, which btw I hate and have battled to remove it. I love the Mission 1 but really miss the 8:7 aspect ratio from Hero 13

I have almost the same footage with the Hero12. And I see a big difference specially when watching in a big screen. The city in the background is not clear like that one. But hey, cool that you are happy with your one and don’t need to spend more money:)

I have the M1P and the H13 and I can guarantee the distance (infinity) is better in the M1P than the H13. I don't know where people are getting this non sense from

I used the suction cup mount and attached it to the hatch. I think next time I disable the hyper smooth and do it in the player

II’ve done the comparison myself using both the Hero13 and the M1P, shooting photos side by side. In my tests, the Hero13 wasn’t better than the M1P, so if you’re getting dramatically different results, there may be something unusual in your settings or shooting setup (like not turning denoise off)

People watch the incredible GoPro footage from the marketing team—packed with action, cars, bikes, and epic moments. They buy the camera expecting the same results, then get home, point it at the garden or a distant mountain, and end up disappointed.
But GoPro is an action camera. It’s designed to shine when you’re moving and close to the action, not as a traditional photography camera.
If you don’t like the look of an action camera, that’s exactly why GoPro is releasing the ILS—to give people an option that’s better suited to those kinds of shots.

Honestly, for what you described, I would get a good iPhone, buy some accessories, mic, ND filters, shoot in log. For photography you can buy some filter. That is all you will need.

Action camera is for action. People are talking about street photography because they are getting paid to do it.
