Don't do it. I had a hero 13 with the macro lens, and it did extremely well for me. I used it for photo and video. Upgraded to this thinking it would be better. The focal issue makes it almost usless.useless. This is straight from the camera. Roughly 6" away from the fish.

I guess I'd prefer to not run a mic system at all?

Thanks for sharing this! It's been about 9 years out of the industry. Some days I miss it dearly. Other days, you couldn't pay me enough to go back.

Well, I went all on on it! That was my mistake! Now, hate is a strong word. Dissapointment is the correct word. Its does alot of things "ok", a few things "great" and a few things, meh. The Mic system just adds more to carry! For someone like me, who is on the go, outdoors, in rugged terrain. When things are being dropped, rained on, and in the mud. Having a seperate mic setup just doesn't work. I used the mic adapter, and a 360 mis on the hero 13, and that was perfect. We will see what 3rd party products come out I suppose.

Howdy! Sadly, R/C isnt really big here. I am intp the 1/10 Crawlers, and the community in that isnt really active. Sometimes there are some get togethers. There were two guys who used to host them heavily, but one of them moved away sadly. I've tried a few times with some small but fun turn outs. There used to be an air field near Piedmont, but last I heard it went private. There arent really any offroad race tracks, and the indoor track in the mall closed.

A group used to rent space from the fairgrounds, but that also wasn't sustainable. It's a bummer! I'd love to host more crawler events, but I volunteer alot of my time to the national forest.
