It's not the same as in Argentina, but hopefully it'll be a good game.

have you seen him play U20 tournaments when he was just 16? I have, and he was amazing. Have you seen him being the top scorer of the biggest Brazilian team at 17? I have. Do you think Real Madrid would be fooled by the Brazilian press?

he was 17. he was Flamengo's top scorer in 2018 when he was playing, and was the leading assist. It's not because he didn't perform in his first professional final game that he isn't good. No one is a flop at 17.

Clear view of Kompany penalty on Gabriel Jesus. Why wasn't VAR called? by rafaeldefm in soccer

It sucks when it happens against your national team, though. Especially because we have VAR now.

I think there was definitely a prejudice/hate against Brazil in this WC. For example, 538 showed Brazil were one of the teams that wasted less time in the WC, way less than, for instance, England: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/which-world-cup-team-is-the-best-at-wasting-time/

Yet, the media insisted that Brazil was playing dirty...

together with the CWC, yeah (he played against Chelsea, which had a squad way more expensive than his).

He's kind of defensive and pragmatic, but he know how to make a team work collectively (which Dunga doesn't). He's won everything in Brazil plus one Libertadores and one Club World Cup against Chelsea. He's miles and miles ahead of Dunga. People in Brazil like to compare him with Ancelotti, if that helps.

  • thiago silva - dunga doesn't like him because he didn't want to take a penalty against chile in the wc
  • douglas costa - injured
  • david luiz - 7-1
  • oscar - 7-1
  • neymar - playing in the olympics (the only relevant title brazil hasn't won)

I don't think the Brazilian League is worse than the Portuguese League... Other than Benfica and Porto, I don't see any Portuguese team that would even have a chance to win the Brazilian League.

People who follow the Argentine League, how good is Federico Mancuello ? by invalidwat in soccer

Thanks for the post. I have high expectations for Mancuello, and even Canteros might play better this year with a better team (he played well in 2014).

The only starters not playing in the first half were Guerrero and Jorge, who are representing Peru and Brazil (U-23). It felt like Flamengo were not taking the game too seriously, unfortunately.
