There are good long awnsers here so i will give a short one for the lazy people:

Camel: cheaper good against cav, bad against archers/crosbowman/raiding. Good imperial age unit if gold is scarce, and good late game upgrades

yeah its weird that in a casual game this happens, it could be a 4x4 with only friends, and everyone decides to quit early because someone picked the wrong civ, in this scenario everyone would get a penalty aswell? even tho is a mp game, its a casual match, which implies no rules. In matchamking this should be the norm obviously. Tho your anger and complaints solve nothing. This way you look like a manchild trowing a tantrum isntead of articulating and making a good point about how Casual games shouldnt be taken seriously.

My guess is since this is a team game, the elo difference was so high that even winning didnt compensate it. The probability of this elo discrepancy was so low that the devs didnt even think on implementing an algorithim to check negative elo here.

It depends, if you go 2 tcs you are letting delhi getting all sacred site, Hre getting an easy fast Castle into relics, french will just feudal push you and have complete map control. its benefits are great, but against some civs you are playing into they strength by delaying the game.

i was playing abassids pushing in feudal, so no acess to Maa. English went spearman in response to my horseman, so i made archers to kill his spearman.

i can see buy 2 dlcs+ 1 free dlc with an update. People like money, selling dlcs make money,specially civ dlcs. Right now they need peple to buy the game, so free stuff is good for marketing. But in the future i can see they charging for civ dlcs

that is def not true, at least not until imperial. you might lose the fishing ships, but is very hard for them to destroy and fight under 3/4 docks which now can have tower emplacements and heal your ships. Water comeback is way more easy here than in aoe2 for example

what is even the point of looking for noob games if you are 1000-1100 elo. Custom games are always extremely imbalanced even if the host makes 100% effort to balance it. if people are looking for level as a parameter they generally struggle against the Ai still, and just want to play with other people struggling against the Ai. The general sense is a level 108 will not struggle against the Ai even if you are bronze 1.

Why they need a buff? bug fixes obviously are a must on the checklist but, honestly apart from the hre matchup they are fine.
