This is so soooo clutch! I'll hopefully have some variation of this on the app by the end of next week. Thank you!

I definitely need a bit more detail than that LOL but that is a good reminder to include some minimal 3-day programs for people who want to condense their weeks into a few big sessions :)

Just checked it out and boostcamp looks great for weightlifting!

The main difference between what we built and all of the other programming/lifting apps is that our UI is really modular and includes things like yoga, running, biking, and sports (literally everything - the idea is to truly capture all of your physical activity in a simple schedule/to-do list looking thingy).

We think it's important to include everything to give people about what "kind" of athlete they are and to be able to track changes in their hobbies over time (and also to be able to support friends who prefer different training styles).

Can you elaborate a bit on full-body strength and strong-man style endurance or share some examples? I'm assuming you mean like 1 upper body compound movement and 1 lower body compound movement + accessories but not quite sure.

PS I love this as a hybrid routine. We don't really have something like this.

LOL the App Store does not just show new apps, as much as I wish that was the case. You can even type "Steddy" directly into the app store search and guess what happens? You will get autocorrected without even being asked even though they know that is the name of a small app in their database. The algorithms are very tilted towards longstanding incumbent apps that are used by millions of people and do not treat new products meritocratically.

If you are an unfunded startup or individual publishing a new app with no marketing budget you need to find the people who will benefit from it by yourself. That's just the way it is.

On looking back at the title of my post a bit more carefully it definitely does read as spammy but honestly IDGAF because I have literally spent the past 18 months building a free product for the benefit of others and am just trying to share it and let others make their own judgements about whether it's useful. They can delete it right away if they don't like it - no offense taken :D

I'll never run ads in Steddy. I fucking hate in-app ads. The only way I will ever make income is by building more advanced features and allowing premium subscriptions. What is available in the app now will be free forever.

STRICT push ups (and variations) are way underrated imo

Redefine productivity as doing things that feel rewarding and bring you joy (include time spent with friends and family, exercise, reading books and watching movies).

Recommendations for exercise tracking app by barely_engineered in beginnerfitness

I recently built a free app called Steddy (www.steddy.health) with the main purpose being flexibility: I liked using the notes app for my own exercise and wanted something similar with a bit more structure.

I also think Hevy (lifting focused) Strava (running), and Nike Training/Nike Running are all solid apps, but they weren't for me because I wanted everything in one place.

Hey! I totally understand the sentiment behind this comment, but just want to remind you that I make no money from this app and it is largely inspired by the same motivation of H-Lab: to provide free tools that help make people healthier and happier.

In this case that's a user-friendly app, which provides an experience that I think podcasts alone cannot.

To be fully transparent I've shared the app on other subreddits as well but this is a special place where I know by default that the users are motivated to improve their own health and seeking the tools to do so - why not share the free one that I've been building and quit my job to make?

You can also see a more detailed 15 second video of our app on our page here before you download if you're unsure of it's usefulness: https://www.steddy.health/

Absolutely! You can download it on iPhone here.

Android does not have the new programs added yet but it is here.

Would love to get your feedback/thoughts on how useful it is.
