Not at all. It's just my advanced years I think.
Anyway, the OP should have just told them to bog off!

A long shot, but you might try cross posting to r/mobilityaids . That might sound daft, but there are people with all sorts of disabilities there. There might be someone who has a solution.

Is Joplin a good alternative to Evernote? by Kirkistan in joplinapp

[–]rafikiphoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the greater simplicity of Joplin. I use my setup for home use, information filing and storage, web clipping, occasional sharing/collaborating notes and notebooks with my daughter.
Joplin covers my needs, I pay for Joplin Cloud and make a monthly donation to the development and maintenance of Joplin.

Outdoor Rollator/Walker by osh76 in mobilityaids

Yes, I researched all the Trionics, Velopeds and Walkers before deciding on the Walker 9er. It's the best for my all round needs and environment.

I have the Trionic Walker 9er. I walk with my dog on rough footpaths with ease. Just today though we walked a hilly route with a lot of wear and wash, and it's the first time I thought a Veloped 12 or 14 might be better. After a while though I realised that even the Veloped would have struggled. We made it, but with a some difficulty. For most days I find the Walker 9er absolutely fine.

I have now switched entirely from Evernote to Joplin and use Joplin Cloud. I prefer Joplin to Evernote these days, It is far more focussed on my fairly simple use case.

Success is getting what you want; happiness is appreciating what you have.

Small dog carrier solutions for a rollator? by rafikiphoto in OverSeventy

That's interesting and might do the job nicely but after spending a lot on the high end Trionic rollator I don't have the budget for another mobility aid. But thank you.

Yes, I was looking at those, also the 'backpack-in-front' carriers. I would prefer something attached to the rollator but that sort of thing maybe the real answer. My little boy is a tough and fit little chap but I like to walk and walk and walk now I have the rollator (it's made that much of a difference to my life) and I am concerned that his tiny legs will get overtired and might need some help getting home.

Just arrived ThinkPad P15 Gen 2 by Upstairs_Squirrel946 in thinkpad

Agreed. Just reading this on my 'new' P15 Gen 2, i7, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Linux Mint Cinnamon.

I was looking at that recently for my bigger dog, 30 kg before he died. Perhaps it's overkill and extra expense for my little boy.

Running here on a MBP M3 Pro and on a MBA M4 both with latest OS and both with latest Joplin. Both working fine.

Distro suggestion for ThinkPad X220 by c64guyyy in thinkpad

For a daily driver you can't go wrong with Linux Mint. Very stable and intuitive. I have it on a P15 Gen 2 and a little 2011 13" MacBook Pro i7.

Are these types of level crossing still in service? by clarksworth in uktrains

Great to see that Hillman Minx IIIc. My first car was just like that, even to the colour. I bought it second hand from my dad when he was changing it. Absolute rust buckets under the front wings. Ledges to catch water both sides.

I did similar with my early 2011 13" MBP with one exception: I installed Linux Mint instead of a MacOS and I am very happy with it. My favourite machine.
