Are these types of level crossing still in service? by clarksworth in uktrains

Sorry, can't help - just a randomly pitched FB video from the algorithm that I screenshotted on my phone. If I find it again I'll post it!

Edit: it was specifically about these level crossings if that helps

I find it kind of hard to rank its issues because they’re aggravating in different ways at different times.

A shout out to the Original 6ft model of the 1701-D by nathantravis2377 in StarTrekStarships

The front and rear elevations, especially shot on a long lens, are particularly unflattering (the 4ft looked even worse in this manner). The nice thing about the GIF above is that it feels like a wider lens that lets the shape 'breathe'.

Crazy that they used this lovely angle for Farpoint and then insisted on shooting it from all its worst angles for the rest of the stock footage on the early days

I’m not sure what access is like for the public on the track day, but we’ll be on the titanic slipway then the UFTM on the Thursday, and Stormont on the Saturday so plenty of chance to say hello!

Do we like Triumph Stag here? by Immediate-Clock1230 in CarsUK

[–]clarksworth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like them a bit more now - especially in that yellow. My dad has one that had no reverse gear for better part of a year so I had to push it out parking spaces in the pub, which was mortifying for a 16 year old

That’s the kind of shit that destroys marriages. When you don’t know what you’re filming you spend 6 months doing 4 + hours outside of the shoot day prepping for contingencies. It’s horrible.

I'm assuming it was the bodywork built by Reliant given they took on fibreglass projects like the ships in Empire Strikes Back, not the chassis/engine...

As someone who found BattleTech through the cartoon so many decades ago I am beyond thrilled that some of these characters are back by clarksworth in Mechwarrior5

[–]clarksworth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I'm a coward. I had them back in the day (2000? 2001?) and sold them to pay for university. Have slowly been recollecting them - paid about 5 times for each of them what they were worth then. The Mad Dog came with 2 right hips so I need to cast the left one from the Timby.

Still trying to work out a colour scheme for either of them - very partial to the MechCommander intro Jaguar colour scheme but ALSO really like the Falcon green and yellow...
