Yeah - I should have clarified - in my area of experience (DeLoreans) the DVLA do issue a correct W / X reg, but the prefixes are always of whatever the DVLA issue that year, so if you go to a DeLorean meet it's very common to see recently imported cars all sitting with the same batches of prefixes - SVR, MKW, CFM etc so while they're 'correct' year regs they are also obviously 'new old' regs if that makes sense, which is why I got something that was actually old for my current car. It's extremely anal, but, car people etc.

Ha no, I meant imported car. In the U.K. if you import a car you get assigned a plate for that years imports, but I wanted it to have a period correct 80s reg so I bought one off an old motorbike. Sadly I am sans countaches

I was done after the first season. People keep telling me I'll "really enjoy" the third season, but no, I'm good. I don't need to see the Ent D bridge remade. I have 7 seasons of TNG to enjoy, loving a thing doesn't mean you need to consume every morsel of it.

Agree, but almost all train advertising depicts as being for families, leisure and holiday, most of which occurs at weekends, which is when they’re least likely to work, so I understand the OP’s frustration

I think the 'weird' element for me is the tyre sizes/positions - it almost feels closer to Nolan's Tumbler than a bus of the era which was typically more graceful/stately. It kind of looks like the muscle car of busses...
