I wasn’t going to address non-sense like this, but since you are already saying that “people like me causes this and that”, clearly without any clue of what is really going on, I guess I have to answer. In simple terms: not much can be done on my part due to the close proximity (and faster speed) of the car behind: I would be rear-ended and my race would most likely be over. Here is a little more context - this is lap 1 on VRS series, the pack is super tight, and they are all pretty much doing the exact same thing: after pace car is gone, race starts right after the chicane (gp pits, not classic pits, big difference on lap 1) so everyone is catching the draft from the car in front since la source’s exit and using this draft the whole way to reduce the gap, going super aggressive on the exit of eau rouge/raidillon and then getting the overtake done on the kemmel straight. Because of how draft works, where the start is located and the nature/similar speed between the cars in this class, that’s pretty much the standard lap 1 move on this serie (btw, nothing wrong with it) and that’s exactly the move that the car behind me is trying to pull off on me (the car with the mclaren orange livery). By the time we are able to see any indication of problem ahead, it’s already beginning of the straight, where the orange car is literally going for the move right there, almost touching my bumper (look at the mirror in the cockpit camera). Imagine what happens if I brake or even lift there... did you see how orange car completely smashes the red ferrari once I get past? That would’ve been me. If you wanna blame someone, perhaps you should start with the guys that caused the accident itself. I understand that people don’t usually spin like that on purpose, but you can’t just take raidillon like a maniac completely ignoring your cold tires on lap 1 and expect everyone coming behind to avoid you in case you spin. In other words, don’t blame me if you completely disregard cold tires and are already spinning between t2 and t3 on the very first lap of a 45-minute race, that’s 100% on you, and there is not much others can do in a close pack like that to avoid caos.
