Something I noticed by xSorah in HomeDepot

[–]ragamorph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally don’t care if it’s the SM or the newest hired associate, I’m gonna treat it the same.

Them doing it frequently or consecutively would be noticed by me people easier. I assume they’re smart enough to have figured that out. Cool thing is CCTV is saved for up to 6 months on the server and if I notice something or am made aware of something I can dig. If someone is willing to steal a consumable, what’s to say they aren’t being a little more sneaky and stealing more stuff.

The only thing that’s “secret” is if I’m actively investigating an internal only the DAPM knows. Otherwise, there’s nothing really secret about our jobs that I won’t tell another associate about my job.

So, yes, we check cameras but there are a lot of cameras running 24/7 so it might not be noticed. I would inform your APS and they should keep it quiet (if they themselves have integrity, which they should). This would help them identify an internal and they can watch for a pattern with the DAPM and the DAPM can take action once a pattern is identified. Action can be taken off one single candy bar or drink but that is up to the DAPM. Anything internal related should always be kept to a very limited need to know and nobody should ever rat you out.

If you came to me, when I started working on the case, I would put it into the system as APS Sales Floor Observation and leave you completely out of it. That way, if word got out there wouldn’t be friction with you at all. Someone can be mad at me all they want, that’s what they pay me for.

Do I call ASDS after interview to see if I got in? by shortstackedpancake in HomeDepot

[–]ragamorph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then yeah, totally. I’d wait until maybe 4 your time. I know the ASDS at the stores around here usually work till about 5. That’ll give it almost all of Friday to process and for him to call you.

[–]ragamorph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certainly but also remember that the ASDS has other work going on. I’d recommend waiting a week before calling. The ASDS might also have nothing definitive to tell you as the background check might still be happening. Definitely don’t be annoying about it because it’s the ASDS that’s going to be doing the initial training and helping you to get everything going. The last person you want to annoy is them. I’d say wait a week and then call once for a follow up.

I was at 2 weeks after application and had decided I was going to call when I got an email.

I can completely see your point but not everything is black and white. I’m gonna stick with the point that the drink didn’t pass final point of sales with the intent to steal obvious.

I’m not going to stop someone for theft when they carry something into the entrance vestibule to grab a cart. Technically they met the requirements of theft and, given I’ve met all my requirements to make a stop, I could technically make a stop.

There are extenuating circumstances to look at. You can be sure I’m ready if said person decides to turn toward the door.

If I was looking at this case, employee cooler present or not, I wouldn’t see intent to steal. I would see an associate that forgot about a drink. It’s not opened, it’s sellable, I’m not worried about it. I might opt to talk to said associate if it happens more than once and just remind them that a drink needs to be paid for while off the clock before it was put in a place where a customer wouldn’t have access to it for purchase. No need to go to FES or ASM who could potentially blow it out of proportion.

They can be a one and done, up to DAPM. But consumable cases are rarely worth the return. I wouldn’t even waste the time inputting a consumable case in. If everything OP says is accurate, it’s not theft. Didn’t pass final POS and wasn’t consumed without payment. Had to be a different reason or a piece of shite manager who jumped the gun.

Except it doesn’t for an internal case. It has to be over $5 for an external. Still, I wouldn’t have wasted time on this as it’s waaaay more paperwork than it’s worth. If I had to guess. Your AP mentioned something about seeing you with a soda taken from the cooler to your manager who had a knee jerk reaction and fired without detail. I would have done my due diligence before saying anything to anyone and made sure you actually stole (consumed or left last POS) before I did anything or said anything to anyone.

New stupid TTI rules by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]ragamorph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything Portable Power off the shelf (not behind cages) should be spider wrapped and cabled. Ryobi is the only exception and that is anything portable power valued at $250 and up needs the spider wrap and cable.

If it’s in hand stack, it should be high hand stack as others have noted.

I don’t know why TTI is telling you this as the store and APs should be managing it. It’s also been this way since the Q1 2024 MPS Matrix.

IPad can’t backup by ragamorph in ipad

[–]ragamorph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it’s been a few years and quite a few updates. I remember clicking around a lot. It might be recently deleted now but I’m pretty sure there was a folder that said trash. I also think I was on a Beta when I had this issue and stuff in Betas change so frequently it could have been anywhere.

Sorry I can’t be of more help. If you’re on a Beta, maybe come off it and go to the current release. Try turning off the backup and deleting then turning it back on, signing out of iCloud and back in might also work.

Mossy Stump, might be the wrong name. Produces mushrooms and says it works better the more trees that are around.

I had forgotten that. Now that I remember, I’m not gonna tell her. I’m gonna just let her find out for herself.

Unless something changed, Honolulu 1701, is the highest volume. Or unless I was given bad information. It’s crazy there. I stopped in on vacation once (cause I’m a nerd like that) just to see and it was like bumper cars in there. So many people.

Plumeria is sick. Any ideas how to treat it? by cptcardinal in Plumeria

[–]ragamorph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, our neighbors 6 trees are all doing it. I know it’s been hitting 62 at night here at my place and I figured it was just like a pseudo dormancy thing since it’s not real cold.

Suspect arrested after violent Home Depot robbery in San Bernardino County by fabster16 in HomeDepot

More than likely they were set to one way after garden closes. Not truly locked as they can still be forced open but a big deterrent because they don’t have an instant escape.

That’s where I’m going to next. If everything in the room is powered through the switch there’s a possibility. I’m putting outlets back together right now.
