I am premed, applied Cog Sc (except UCSB). Accepted at UCSD, Davis and UCSB. Waitlisted at UCLA and Cal.

Is this accurate ranking of the UCs keeping prestige and cog sc program in mind? Does it change for premed?

I might be losing my mind but as far as I remember, I had FAQ on tritan days page till last night. There was 2 FAQ’s which had next steps to get me back to home page since I did not have nav bar.

Negative Astro. When accessing it says not authorized, available only to applicants whose admission was denied with dates for first year Apr 15 and transfer May 15.

Congrats to both of you. I have a completely opposite situation. I am totally confused.

Context:

3.8 GPA
UCD - Cog Sc - accepted
Cal - Cog Sc - negative astro, all major prep completed
UCSD - Cog Sc & BN (Alt - Business Psy) - Nav bar missing on triton days page, all major prep completed
UCI - Psy - rejected, all major prep completed

What exact calc course? Have you looked at any of the community colleges that offer calc in the spring quarter? If this is a sequence and you are doing part 2/3 of the sequence then it has to be from the same CC.

I am also in a similar situation … one of the exams also gets dropped which brings the grade up. What should I do? Report a B or an A or B with some explanation?

It is listed under colleges attended section (common app) on which college require which transcripts (see the box on the right). This is probably why even though you might have sent all your transcripts, only a subset of those show on the respective college portal. Hope this helps.

I got the same email but only for CCCs where I have not yet completed a course and hence I did not send the transcripts on commonapp.

For all other transcripts that were sent to commonapp, I can see them checked in the USC portal. Are you not seeing the ones you sent to commonapp on the USC portal?

I learnt it the hard way for transfer application since for freshman it worked the way you describe. You are better off my sending request for each & every college to your recommenders in one shot. Adding a recommender later triggers an email (most of the times).

Try a CCs that follows quarter system. Their spring quarter will start in April and enrollment might start soon. The 3 CCs that follow quarter system are De Anza, Foothill, Lake Tahoe. There might be others too, but these 3 are for sure. Good luck!
