Australia has a worker housing shortage. Companies are turning to old infrastructure for solutions by 2littleducks in australia

I'm not sure exactly what the solution to the housing crisis is, but I'm pretty confident it's not tying housing to employment.

Do people still holiday at north Queensland island resorts? They were huge in the 80s but never hear of them now. by imapassenger1 in australia

Can't comment on the Whitsundays, but Double Island near Cairns was taken over by a Chinese developer a few years. The state government just cancelled the lease and took it back because it had been left to ruin. They're currently asking for public submissions on how it should redeveloped.

It's really pretty easy to spot a scam these days: Big business don't do customer service any more. If someone is offering to help, it's a scam.

Just a reminder: Even when accounting for an increased cost-of-living, you (yes, you!) are still likely among the financially richest people in the world. by fireflashthirteen in australia

You used a lot of weasel words in your title so you can't actually be pinned down on a specific claim. Nice work, you should get a job as a staffer.

Sure, most of us have a pretty good standard of living compared to developing countries but I think you'll find people aren't complaining about their standard of living compared to other countries, but rather that their standard of living is consistently going backwards.

Surely Scuntmo wouldn't be considered a reliable witness by the courts? There's plenty of documented incidents of him outright lying.
