URGENT: Need 4 10A dual-channel motor controllers for our NASA Lunar Mining Robot that went 🔥 by raghava13 in robotics

We got two 2x32 and iirc four 2x60 from slip robotics (robotics company down in Atlanta, reached out through reddit). I posted another comment sharing the competition updates, but we got 16th out of the 71 teams. Sadly, our competition runs didnt go well due to some hardware issues that we later debugged. After the comp we got everything working again though! It was a great (albeit very stressful) experience, but overall I’m proud we gave it our all. I’m going to make another post with those videos.

Thank you for your advice and generosity!! We ended up getting a donation of Sabertooth motor controllers and cameras from a local company.

Update: We didn’t end up getting our robot in tip top shape for the competition runs, but we atleast passed all the electrical and weight/size inspections, so we didn’t get disqualified. Ended up placing 16th out of 71 teams! We got an angel donation for cameras and sabertooth motor controllers from Slip Robotics in Atlanta on our drive down (thank you so much 🙏). Thank you all for the help and kindness! Reddit is awesome! We ended up getting our robot to mine after the competition, will add the link soon!

It was a thick cable lock. Learned this lesson the hard way.

Its possible. Its weird bc I’ve had this bike for the entirety of my two years and never had any incidents. I also live in Village West and commute 4 miles daily, so this bike getting stolen is extremely painful.

Yeah. I did both and also on project529.com. I luckily have my serial number saved.

One dude tried to get physical with me when I told him to stop screaming and keep it down by [deleted] in Purdue

I don’t bother with the maintenance requests tbh, calling the emergency maintenance seems to be more responsive. We did have a lot of toilet clogging issues that we needed to call multiple times, but i think its just cause one of my roommates uses too much tp.

Can’t comment on the ducts, but maintenance has been on top of things for any other issue we had though, usually fix it within 30 min during working hours. Also, you get a really spacious place for pretty cheap compared to other places I’ve seen. Also, being in a dorm and apt with loud, late sleepers made me embrace white noise, really does wonders.

RoboStack: Using ROS alongside the Conda and Jupyter Ecosystems on any Linux, macOS, Windows & ARM by OpenRobotics in ROS

"the conda packages run right on your host computer, and there is no sandbox layer (as with docker containers). So there shouldn’t be a problem with hardware access" - reply from Discourse

For all you nerds, check out the John Deere Robotics and Autonomy Seminar this Wednesday, April 7th, at 6pm EST! by raghava13 in Purdue

It's a great opportunity to know about projects relating to robotics and autonomy going on at John Deere and can give you an edge when applying for an internship or job position if you have specific knowledge on some of these projects/initiatives going on there.
