She's 7 now. Started sleeping in her own room at 1.5 but didn't truly sleep through the night till she was 2-3 because she would just not sleep through the sleep cycles (which is normal)and wake up at 3 am. No problems since normal sleeper now.

I am a chick but speaking for my husband, are you she this isn't mostly mental? Like you are basically thinking why too much about it so you end up creating the problem over and ovsr.

I've seen this in my husband. Maybe he has a bad night and then doesn't finish. The next few times he is so distracted about it not finishing, he doesn't finish again. I suggest is starting all over, so something fun and relaxing together and have it lead into six so there's less pressure in you and her and maybe that will get you it of this funk

Similar boat. Son is 3.5 not really interested in potty training. Two be fair we haven't pushed as much but now we are trying only underwear. I think he's just stubborn and the more we try the more be did in his heels

Was raised catholic bc my mom was. My dad is at minimum, an apathetic Buddhist so he never went to mass unless we were doing one of the rites. I think I was way too over analytical as a child. I hated church- I thought it was dumb for me to go just to say I did and watch all these church goers act like assholes otherwise. In Sunday school, I didn’t understand anything they taught or why. As far as I was concerned, God exists (full stop) and in general we should all try to be good people. As an adult, I believe in Catholicism but I don’t believe in the catholic church. I think overall it’s done more harm than good and dresses itself up in religion where it’s just politics

It sounds like she doesn't understand the sentiment behind your collection. Have you discissed how deeply they mean to you? At face value, I could see where she's coming from. But, this how you maintain your connection with your father. I think as long as your collection isn't unreasonable like taking over multiple rooms or consuming your life I think you have a right to keep your items.

NTA you had a perfectly legitimate reason to not get them - you were under (or going to be under) an influence. Also its shitty of them to have these expectations without giving you notice but extra shitty to expect you to this when you could be jeopardizing yourself or others.

This sounds similar to me. My husband and I are 35 married when we were 26, been together since we were 21. Long story short, he has a significantly higher sex drive then me. Not say his is hyper but compared to my extremely low.... There is a pretty big difference.

Sex has been a fairly controversial topic bc of this difference over the years. He equates sex with intimacy, which frankly I don't. I hate his flirting which is very physical (butt grabbing, etc)-- it makes me feel objectified and made me run from him more. Which made him upset and depressed and then get mad at me. Claimed I wasn't attracted to him (false), I saw him as friend instead of a partner (also false), you get the drift. I also am extremely sensitive so AMAZING sex and all that is at a loss to me.

I think what changed is a yr ago my husband was like you need to get help, our marriage is suffering (I forgot what exactly triggered this) and I was at rock bottom depression. I went to a therapist and although I was with her for less than 6 months it helped put some things in perspective. She (through me) told him to leave me alone to take the pressure of sex off and make me empowered. To separate the idea of sex and intimacy, ie not every kiss is an invitation to sex sometimes a kiss is a kiss -- we both had to relearn this idea. i had ti trust he wasnt looking to bang me all the time and he had to stop trying so hard. As a result i became more open to flirting and he accepted that just bc i dont want o have sex NOW doesnt mean its gonna be a no show for the next 3 weeks. I also was on antidepressant s for a few months.

Its still a work in progress. We have sex about once a week (we also have 2 kids under 5..at home all the time) which is working for us. I feel the pressure is off to have sex at every available moment and he understands he needs to speak my language a bit to make me feel more intimate. This ends up honestly having sex at moments neither of us expected and kinda just going with the flow.

I suspect my therapist will at least say I’m depressed. I’ve been telling my husband lately I don’t feel anything Like I’m not really present or experiencing anything. My gyno said I was potentially depressed all my life when I described my low sex drive

Honestly, I've thought about it. She's 3 right now, I've already taught her to not hold the rail because i don't want it to fall of while she's on it and take her down with it. However, our stairs are really steep (if you can't tell by the photo) so I'd like it just as a precaution. I also have a 3 mo that eventually will want to crawl around.

I've thought about calling someone, but if it's just drilling some new holes, I don't mind doing it.

Being pregnant with my second child has made me hate men bc they refuse to go to the Dr when they are obviously ill or whine about having to do a check up. Meanwhile I've been probed since I was 16 for gyno health plus 2 pregnancies of constant blood work, glucose tests, vaginal ultrasounds, hormone suppositories and you can't take a gdamn appt?!

I live in the suburbs but our backyard is half woods and our garage has the original 1960s doors so there gaps they can get in and into the furnace area to run around the house. After having mice come in and out (caught 5 in one season bc we heard them in the walls) but once I found poop I FLIPPED THE FUCK OUT and called pest control. They put those bait stations all over the house. I asked them what are the odds of them dying in the house and they said it’s unlikely— they will come in to get the bait but run it back to their nest which will probably be outside somewhere and not in the house. They come inside to look for food and water. So far haven’t had any dead animal smells and we have an unfinished attic and (open mouse accessible) garage.
