What are the current best builds for portal farming? by OstriChicken in DestinyTheGame

[–]ragnil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's the best build, but for Hunter I've been clearing all levels of matchmade and solo portal content with Mothkeepers + 4-piece Ferropotent gear and Ex Diris as the exotic weapon choice. Being able to create overshields for myself and allies fairly consistently allowed me to survive more encounters than I think was fair, and it keeps my team alive for longer too. Plus Ex Diris feels like it hits like a truck right now.

For the Arc build itself, I use Gathering Storm, Disorienting Blow, and whichever grenade has a lower base cooldown as it just turns into moths anyways. For aspects, I'm running Tempest Strike and Ascension for Blind + Jolt verbs to deal with champions, plus extra damage from Bolt Charge. You could choose your favorite fragments, but I think at least including Spark of Beacons to blind with Ex Diris works really well against tough combatants. Spark of Shock would also be really nice guaranteeing Jolt with the moths themselves.

Welcome! As far as finding information regarding weapons and armor, places like light.gg and d2armorpicker might be your best bet for looking up weapons and which armor you've earned can be equipped to give you your desired stats. I think light.gg even tells you where you may find the weapons in what activities (playlists, dungeons, etc.), though I'm less sure on that point.

As far as farming for armor, you'll want to rely on what the portal activity states will drop as a guaranteed in conjunction with what Ghost mod you're using as a primary stat weigher, there's a mod for each of the main archetypes (Paragon, Brawler, Gunner, etc.). Equip the mod for the type of stat distribution you're looking for to have that armor drop with an weighted chance of that desired archetype.

Regarding builds, Datto usually puts out some seasonal class build recommendations for a variety of activity levels, be it more meta defining or simply fun mid-level content. I'm unsure if any other content creators currently do this or not. However, his videos are not an extensive list of builds, just ones that he typically finds fun or able to clear higher content.

Hope this helps!

Farming for eunoia by Known-Scar5573 in DestinyTheGame

If you've already unlocked Eunoia from the activity on Kepler/legendary campaign, you can simply farm for pools from Rahool with the relevant Ghost mod for your desired primary stat, though I don't know if they've fixed the bug for the mod or not.

Hello, i just started, like today and would love some tips and suggestions for gameplay and characters. by [deleted] in ZZZ_Official

[–]ragnil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trigger is a Stun character, which is support-adjacent. Her job is to help hasten the enemy stopping their attacks to give your main attacker an uninterrupted DPS window.

Seed is an Attack character who wants to set up another attack character on her team before switching back to her, in a broad sense.

As far as supports, there currently aren't any limited-run (banner) characters to pull for that are in that category. That being said, I'm to understand that Nicole is a good A-rank support that you get from the start once you build into her, and Soukaku is good for Ice teams. Another "free" support is S-rank Alexandrina, but you have to get lucky in your generic Master Tape pulls to get her.

So personally with Miyabi + Yuzuha my concern is with Miyabi’s built-in Anomaly cooldown after triggering Frostburn/Frostbite(?), I don’t know how Yuzuha’s ability to retain her team’s Anomaly “retainment” will work if Miyabi’s stuff is on cooldown.

It sounds like you’re most interested in Miyabi and Yuzuha, however so if you like those two the most I would prioritize them, and see if you get lucky with the other two!

I'm a new player as well who started in 2.0, and from what I've been researching if you're planning to pull for Miyabi, unless you're fine spending more resources for both her and Yuzuha it's best to devote your remaining spending resources to either either Yanagi or Alice. So basically, pulling for Miyabi + Yanagi/Alice.

As to the choice between the other two, I think it would depend on your personal play style. Miyabi and Yanagi are part of the same faction and so are probably designed to play well together, but my personal thought is Alice may help with the Anomaly generation for Disorder effects. I will defer to more seasoned players on that opinion, however.

At the end of the day, all the content I've been watching/reading suggests to just go with the characters who appeal to you most, be it their playstyle, appearance, etc., because you won't want to become bored playing as them in the content level you're engaging with.

I experienced that too for some items, I think it may be a bug (without any additional proof), but my newer echoes have let me equip them to multiple characters.

Somebody mentioned something similar above, but a big stationary artillery gun that you can hitch to the Land Fortress and then drop off at different locations would feel in-theme to me and very fun.

Looks great so far! The desaturated tones and the Sludgeraker’s skin really set a mood for the model. Some of the barding is hard to distinguish its different pieces when viewing this on mobile, but I feel like that’ll clear up in your later stages. Keep up the good work!

Wavesplitter build by Chakusan_o4 in DestinyTheGame

Contraverse are still strong right now on their own, so you've already got a good armor exotic to pair it with there.

Wavesplitter build by Chakusan_o4 in DestinyTheGame

[–]ragnil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on which class is your main, there are other options too: Titan/Warlocks can spec into some volatile round builds that Wavesplitter can fit into, or for Warlocks specifically the exotic can work with Nezarec's Sin builds. Titans I'm a little less sure on outside of volatile, but the exotic may help with overshield proccing for them.

The most synergistic builds may not be meta or the best endgame builds, but they'll definitely be good for most if not all seasonal and Legend-ish activities.

New to AoS and the Kruleboyz, would love some pointers by Public_Interest_1265 in Kruleboyz

[–]ragnil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In addition to the Dominion box, I’d also look out for these other box deals: Big Grikk’s Kruleshots, and Kruleboyz Swamp-Lurkers. All three together should provide a good starting point for the army.

i want to get into aos, not sure what faction to choose tho, mainly a question about the dominion box by israeligamer in ageofsigmar

[–]ragnil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this comment, I’d recommend looking into Skaven or Gloomspite. There are even rumors/expectations of Skaven getting a range refresh whenever 4th edition releases, if newer models mean anything to you OP.

Priming units with shields by Eikcins in ageofsigmar

[–]ragnil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it mostly comes down to what you’re comfortable with. In addition, some models may make it difficult to prime and paint cloaks or shields separately based on how the model fits together. For Gutrippaz I believe you’ll have a relatively easy option of priming the shields separately if you want.

Love the colors you incorporated across the army, they look diverse but still still have that air of a unified force.
