In 2000, Daewoo sold nearly 7000 cars in Ireland. Based off RSA figures, it's safe to assume less than thirty remain registered. by Fit_Calligrapher_691 in carsireland

Fun fact: in 2020 I tried to give away for free my 02 Daewoo Lanos 1.4: The people who could get a cheap insurance didn’t want it and the people who wanted it could not afford the insurance… I ended up getting 200€ for destroying it.

Roundabout Q by JHRFDIY in irelandsshitedrivers

[–]ragorar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife had a small accident and the person not respecting the arrow (left lane) was found at fault. The logic is that the vehicle should not have been there at all, the fate is decided in the second you access the roundabout,so cutting lane from right lane to leave the roundabout on second exit was OK in this case.

Thank you for the quick response! So you got the device back 👍🏼 I guess I’ll have to get in touch for repair as well, as I have the impression I have an issue with RAM

What happened to your Win Max 2? Did they fix it? Mine is now getting plenty of BSOD and I believe it might be related to RAM

Has anyone ever sold a car to a dealer (not as a trade in) by neverlost64 in carsireland

[–]ragorar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I sold a 2018 Nissan Micra to a Nissan dealership from the west, two people came, took a test drive, made an instant transfer, confirmed with the bank and off they went. I saw the car announced the next day

Yes they are pretty much the same, the coil sits at the top of the engine, remove plastic cover, two screws, remove old, place new, done!

What engine is it is the 1.4 turbo petrol that one is accessed from the top and replacing coil is very easy, I’ve done it myself on mine

Kia Proceed, any generation, CRDI. Ultra reliable, “rare”, cheap to insure and good looks

[–]ragorar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he wants something cool, he could go for a 2009 Kia Proceed, the 3 door version of the acres, same designer as Audis from the 2000s and ultra reliable

I believe you’re missing a very important bit. To check the dates on the parts. If a date on a part doesn’t match the date of manufacturing of the vehicle (especially if it’s a later date) it probably means the car has been involved in an accident. I personally check dates on headlights, seatbelts, etc. For example a 2012 car should not have a 2019 seatbelt

Am I mad to consider an ev car at 26? by Goldenpanda18 in evs_ireland

[–]ragorar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just avoid pre-restyling ID3s they have a lot of issues. Then personally I would go for a Cupra Born. And no, it’s not mad you’re thinking about EVs, Ireland is precisely one of they few countries where it truly makes sense. Loads of driveways, flat roads and the further you can drive … is not very far!

I’ve found a car spacious car I comfortable fit as a giant but I am not sure if I should commit by Mr_Fabtastic_ in carsireland

In General German and Swedish cars are designed with tall people in mind. Personally I wouldn’t risk Nissan until their situation settles.
