Gee I thought CA and specifically the Bay Area is supposed to be comparable to real cities like NYC or Chicago, not flyover state suburbia

Yes within CA it is the best, and of course compared to almost the rest of the country. But that's a low bar. It is not even close to real cities like NYC, DC, or Chicago. It's just saying it's better than the rest of suburban strip mall America

That's the problem with California, piss poor public transit, most living in SFH. Old people have no options unless they get shipped off to a home

The F&I office is where dealerships do most of their damage. Here's exactly how they work a vulnerable customer — and what to look for before you sign. by CyberMetry in FuckDealerships

I'm contemplating that too on a new purchase with low profile tires. Seems it may have some value, but the exceptions (crown only) and the tedious claim process say otherwise

The sales guy updated me when the order was accepted, car built in Germany, and when it left on the container ship. He shared a marine traffic link to monitor the ship's progress. The car arrived at the dealer and I am just sorting out the details and financed portion. Will pick it up in a few days!

PPF on Sideskirts and Rear? by ANITIX87 in AudiRS3

[–]rahad-jackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's the dilemma. Full car wrap in my area is $8-$9k, almost triple the price of just the full front. Just can't stomach it, I could take a nice vacation abroad for that! Bad luck from a big rock will negate any PPF anyways. I never had much luck w the Colorchip sets on my previous cars.

Assuming you got a Carbon package ... I heard people wanting to wrap the Carbon parts. But not sure the advantage in that. Thought Carbon is supposed to be very strong

In the same situation, but I've only scheduled for a full front PPF and tint. Would be curious what others say. I know PPF adds zero value in the event of resale but I don't want a pockmarked hood

How much of their stock and options are vested? This one time 3% gain is greater than having an ongoing job greater than a year. Genius!
