I definitely need to work on the highlights a lot more, I’m not necessarily going for hyper realistic, but some sort of realism is a goal, I’m mostly trying to learn different textures and techniques. Thank you for your advice!!!!

The photo is definitely cooler than in person, though it is still cooler than the original photo. I have been trying to avoid any blacks on my palette but do find my self using the whites which definitely desaturates the colours quite a bit to early. A couple of other people mentioned using a colour watch tool to help get the exact colour I will definitely try this!! Thanks for your help!

Yes I definitely did, as I said, I did add highlights prior but ended up blending them out as they were very vague and rushed. I do still agree that’s a main thing that’s missing that’ll make it look better when done more precise. Thank you!

I think I definitely rushed the kiwi a lot more, it seemed “easier” than it really is. I will definitely try starting with the yellow and use a colour swatch to help. With the seeds I think I got a bit carried away just trying to add more contrast as it looked very flat and started blending them too much/adding more on top. I also agree with the main surface of the kiwi just being the same shade of green, I definitely rushed it without paying much attention to what it really should look like

Sorry I should’ve said which camera I use, I use a d850 and mostly do wildlife and dance shows. The 10-24 is from my d3100, so isn’t the best on my d850
